Get this… a Chinese restaurant with wait service! And it is amazing. Been going for 40+ years and it is still so very very good!

Amazing food and service! LOTS of food and when you get it you get your food and a separate plate so you can build your plate with your order(if that makes sense). Egg rolls were good and both meals we got were amazing. My wife had general two’s chicken and I had tripple delight. Again both were fantastic. The menu is full of entrees which gives you tons of options to try. My daughter loved that you get hot tea served at your table as well. If you like Chinese and tired of the buffet you have to stop in here for an authentic Chinese cuisine.

I really enjoyed my experience here. My top 2 favorite Chinese spots. I had the Sesame Chicken, Chons chicken, a Egg Roll and Combo Fried Rice. Sesame Chicken was delicious and cooked to perfection. 8.5/10. Same with the Chons chicken but they are the same thing, except the Chon comes with green pepper and no sesame seeds. 8.5/10. The egg roll was the perfect, very flavorful, best egg roll I’ve had so far. 10/10. Last but not least, the Combo Fried Rice it was spectacular. Cooked rite needs more meat in it. But packed with flavor. 9/10. Food Game 9/10. Portion Game 8.5/10. Price Game 9/10. Overall Yen Ching 9/10.

It’s a very good place to be after a long day. The food is fresh and prompt. Best example of an amazing restaurant I’ve seen in a while. All my food was hot and delicious. I would give 10 stars if I could. The staff is polite and professional and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. I love coming here, it gets better every time. If you want a good date spot or a place for a casual dinner this is the place.

I’ve been eating at this place since I was a kid. I’m very happy that they actually have a good bowl of pho.

I greatly appreciate that the family who owns this place was working on Weds before Thanksgiving and opened the doors to let us in 10 mins before the official 430 time. It might be untoward to say that while we waited for our take out order we were not offered glasses of water (nor beer which they have on tap and coild have raised their margins). To be offered water while waiting is pretty standard here up in Chicago and we’d been erranding all afternoon so a bit parched. My aunt was asked if she wanted her order spicy but I was not so my Kung pao beef was very mild but the beef was tender and flavorful. Seems Vietnamese pho (which does not carry out well no matter who makes it) is the new dish here and why i wanted to get food at this restaurant. Vietnamese egg rolls did not come with the option of fish sauce (nuoc mum) dressing tho they were an option vs Chinese eggrolls. I dont have a big sample size but I think this is one of the best Chinese in Peoria.

I was very overall pleased with this place! I had not eaten from here since I was a small child! My Mongolian beef was very good and tender! My husband had general tso chicken it wasn’t spicy but still he loved it. It came with sticky rice. We also had creamy good potstickers! The portions of our entrees were huge! It was so pleasing! The sugar sprinkle donuts were so tasty and fresh! We shared some plum wine which was tasty but alittle syrupy. Our waitress was so nice and quick to get stuff for us. The food came out super fast too! My husband had heard this place was really good from a friend. We will be back!!! Thank you Yen Ching!

I’ve tried others in the Peoria area, but nothing comes close to Yen Ching. The BEST chicken fried rice. Peking shrimp is another favorite. And if you like fried wontons, they have the best!
