Agree with others, lamb haneeth is a must order. Didn’t get as many piece of lamb as other pictures shown here. It was delicious – cooked perfectly tender with so much flavor. I don’t know what kind of magic is going with the orange colored rice, but they were so scrumptious. Heard a regular order more orange rice – the plate came out with mostly orange rice instead of a mix of orange and white. The hummus was perfectly seasoned and light as a cloud. The SOUP was good.

Some of the best yemini food we ever had. We got Appetizer sampler, Meat hummus, Chicken Mandi, Lamb haneeth, Lamb salta. The flavor was amazing and the meat is very tender. Definitely check this place out.

Don’t forget to get their tea!

The food quality is amazing! It’s freshly made, tastes splendid and comes in big portions. They give free tea with the food and their tea and baklava are the best I ever had! Whenever I do take out food, one serving usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The staff is friendly and courteous. It’s definitely a hidden gem of Baltimore!

Phenomenal. From food to service, everything was exceptional. Ali and his crew were very hospitable. The rice and lamb were cooked to perfection along with the hummus topped with bite size pieces of tender lamb. Oh and the bread was a star, a masterpiece, warm, airy and a perfect addition to the hummus. In addition, the lamb soup warmed the soul. The establishment is a must and deserves 10 stars. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I enjoyed a lunch here on a cold Saturday with friends and it was delightful- the food warmed me right up. The lentil soup was hot and lemony and the creamy hummus was to die for. I hear they spend more than 24 hrs making it! The bread was crispy and shareable, too. Two thumbs up!

We visited Yemeni & Gulf Restaurant during the busy ICNA weekend on a Saturday and late at night, so we expected some hustle—and that’s exactly what we got. A lot of items were out of stock (understandably, given the crowd), but the food we did manage to order more than made up for it.

We tried the lamb haneeth, lamb fahsah, hummus, Yemeni soup, chicken curry, and chicken wings. The lamb dishes were the clear winners—tender, flavorful, and full of that slow-cooked depth you hope for in Yemeni cuisine. The chicken wings were on the smaller side, but still tasty. The Yemeni soup was comforting and had a nice depth of flavor.

The restaurant itself isn’t fancy or upscale—it’s simple and straightforward—but the food speaks for itself. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and despite the crowd, the wait time was surprisingly short. We also enjoyed trying some of the Palestinian drinks they had available.

If you’re looking for authentic flavors in a no-frills setting and don’t mind some menu items being out of stock during peak times, this spot is absolutely worth checking out.

The food here was AMAZING and we got so much. We didn’t pick up that it’s a family style restaurant, so we really could have split 2 entrees or 1 entrees and an appetizer for our table of 4. The leftovers kept really well and I got to eat them a few more times.
Will be back soon!
This isn’t a fancy restaurant, so if you’re expecting a fine dining atmosphere, this isn’t that kind of place. Get take out. For a casual meal with friends or quick lunch, I super recommend this place

Walking into this hole-in-the-wall eatery is like a warm hug. You are engulfed not only by the anticipated flavors of the food, but a tangible vibration that tinges of love. The aromas begin wafting your senses as you approach the entrance. We are partial to the lamb options, however the menu also includes fish and chicken. You have the choice to pair your protein with their signature orange rice with beans, or fresh baked clay oven bread. Non-meat options include falafel, grape leaves, baba ganouch, selection of salads and the creamiest hummus I have ever encountered. Soup is made fresh to accompany whichever entrée you choose. Hot sweet tea with milk or without sits reliably on the table for your self-serve. There is a busy first floor eating area for convenience, however, a 2nd floor space provides a calm quiet experience for those who are willing to climb. For the quick takeout at midnight, the lamb wrap is a filling go-to for under $10. Don’t be the one to miss out on this Baltimore diamond-in-the-rough.
