I was really looking forward to having a bite here, as it has been 30ish years since I was last able to visit this area, but they were closed (it sounds like it may be permanent).
I can remember getting GIGANTIC pancakes here a long time ago, and ice cream on hot summer days at the lake is a must.
I think I speak for a lot of people in saying I really hope they find someone to operate this place again. There is a lot of history here, and a visit to the lake isn’t the same without them.

Ignore the naysayers… This place, hands down, has the BEST breakfast around. They make their hashbrowns and sausage from scratch… Who does that anymore?? The service was awesome. The two cooks in the kitchen were friendly and sanitary (unlike some other reviews left for this place). I highly recommend the giant pancake or French toast.
If you get the chance to stop and support the local community, give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

In the past I have really loved it, so I was really disappointed when I got here to find out they were closed, when Maps has them marked as open, with no hours sign in sight. I hope to come back and enjoy this soon, but don’t count on them being open if you’re going by these hours!

My Donna & I stopped in at the Yellowstone Lake Restaurant today. It was our first time there and oh boy it was good! Try the Caramel Collision and Butter Pecan ice cream, oh so good. We also had burgers and the food was very good. The cheese curds reminded me of the Cheese Day curds in Monroe!

Love this place. I’ve been coming since I was a kid. Its changed management multiple times but the people there now are my favorite. Good food, nice staff, sweet location.

Always a great place to stop for soft serve on the bike. Sometimes very full and lively. Never alone and a great view of lake. Service is down home and local. Always friendly and doing the very best they can. Cheese burgers are fantastic to say the least. Thank you Dairy Bar for a great time everytime

Very friendly people running the place and helped answer any questions we had being in the area for the first time. The ice cream really hit the spot and we were able to stock up on snacks and smores supplies. Didnt get a chance to try their menu but will be looking forward to it next time

This is really a great place on all aspects. The owners are fantastic. Whether you are there for a bite to eat after swimming or cooling down with some ice cream, you wont be disappointed. The view is awesome too.

Our friends and family have driven 100+ miles every summer to stay at Yellowstone Lake. The Dairy is a place we always brag about to people back home, the “plate cakes” are a must with breakfast! The view, the food, the employees, the atmosphere (i could keep going) makes us so excited to return here year after year!

Looks like it belongs out here(in a good way). Good food and nice view of the lake. Not very sanitary. Cooks lick fingers right where we can see them. Another group at a nearby table requested a fly swatter. Otherwise pretty good 🙂
