This restaurant has been around for a long time, and you can really feel that history in the way they stay true to traditional Korean cooking. The flavors feel authentic and carefully preserved, without being overly modernized. At the same time, the service is warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant.
Everything I ordered was generous in portion and consistently delicious. Nothing felt rushed or careless. One thing that especially stood out was the complimentary side dishes. Compared to other Korean restaurants, the banchan here were cleaner in taste, more abundant in quantity, and offered in a wider variety—which really elevates the entire meal.
If you live in La Habra or nearby and want to experience classic, traditional Korean food done right, this is the place to go. Personally, this is the Korean restaurant I recommend the most.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Whether you’re craving classic Korean dishes or looking to introduce someone to Korean food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend—will definitely be back! ✨
The staff were very nice and helpful. Clean spacious seating for small and big group.
The galbijjim was excellent too. Not overly salty or sweet. Just right.
Must-try dishes include EUNDAEGU JORIM, a spicy braised black cod that’s rich in flavour. There’s also AGU JJIM, featuring monkfish braised with spicy sauce and bean sprouts. The fish is tender, and the sauce adds a delightful kick. These two perfect fish dishes are so good that even our toddler was eating it up.
Not a fan of fish? The #2 YEDANG SPECIAL: MUKEUNJI DWAEJI GALBI JJIM is a hearty alternative. The MUKEUNJI, or aged kimchi, delivers a robust sour flavour, enhanced by a hint of chipotle smokiness. It’s a delightful twist not often found in Korea.
One dish that didn’t live up to expectations was the YEDAG BOSSAM, which ended up being underwhelming and dry. However, the overall culinary experience at YEDANG is exceptional while combing traditional Korean flavors with more local ingredients like chipotle.
Service is friendly and this is a family friendly restaurant!
The food? Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was full of rich, traditional flavor — from perfectly marinated bulgogi to sizzling hot stone bibimbap. Their side dishes (banchan) were fresh and plentiful, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
Best of all, the prices are super reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. It’s rare to find a spot that nails authentic taste, great service, and value all in one, but Ye Dang does it effortlessly. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true Korean dining experience!
