If you’re in La Habra and looking for Korean food, I genuinely believe Yedang Korean Restaurant is the most recommendable spot in the area.
This restaurant has been around for a long time, and you can really feel that history in the way they stay true to traditional Korean cooking. The flavors feel authentic and carefully preserved, without being overly modernized. At the same time, the service is warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant.
Everything I ordered was generous in portion and consistently delicious. Nothing felt rushed or careless. One thing that especially stood out was the complimentary side dishes. Compared to other Korean restaurants, the banchan here were cleaner in taste, more abundant in quantity, and offered in a wider variety—which really elevates the entire meal.
If you live in La Habra or nearby and want to experience classic, traditional Korean food done right, this is the place to go. Personally, this is the Korean restaurant I recommend the most.

Yedang Korean Restaurant is such a gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and tastes just like home-style Korean cooking. Every dish we tried was perfectly seasoned and served hot and fresh. The banchan were generous and delicious, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients.

It’s my first time at this restaurant. They offer truly Authentic Korean food, I can tell, because customers are Korean and average middle age. The portions are so big which I couldn’t imagine. I needed to pack more than half for togo. The dishes are very fresh cooked, clean veggies and also a lots.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Clean spacious seating for small and big group.

My favorite place for cold noodles in OC! Their galbi is amazing, and we always order both because their banchan alone is worth the trip. Definitely a local spot.

Ordered the nokdu jun and the galbijjim. I’ve been looking for the authentic taste of the nokdu jun like what my grandma use to make. My grandma used to have a really successful restaurant in Korea back in the 70s and was a great cook. So it’s always been hard finding that taste. This place is exactly like her cooking. I would definitely recommend this place. Looking at the average of of all of the customers (in their 50’s-70’s) attest to the authenticity of the cooking!

The galbijjim was excellent too. Not overly salty or sweet. Just right.

YEDANG is a bustling restaurant packed with Koreans (weekends there is usually a wait). It’s a lot of Korean comfort food, but their best dishes are BRAISED.

Must-try dishes include EUNDAEGU JORIM, a spicy braised black cod that’s rich in flavour. There’s also AGU JJIM, featuring monkfish braised with spicy sauce and bean sprouts. The fish is tender, and the sauce adds a delightful kick. These two perfect fish dishes are so good that even our toddler was eating it up.

Not a fan of fish? The #2 YEDANG SPECIAL: MUKEUNJI DWAEJI GALBI JJIM is a hearty alternative. The MUKEUNJI, or aged kimchi, delivers a robust sour flavour, enhanced by a hint of chipotle smokiness. It’s a delightful twist not often found in Korea.

One dish that didn’t live up to expectations was the YEDAG BOSSAM, which ended up being underwhelming and dry. However, the overall culinary experience at YEDANG is exceptional while combing traditional Korean flavors with more local ingredients like chipotle.

Love their raw soy marinated crab full of authentic flavors and shareable size. Pair good with ban chan and rice. Comes with gloves and scissors so it’s easy to get the meat.

Service is friendly and this is a family friendly restaurant!

YEDANG is my go-to spot whenever I crave authentic Korean food! The staff here is always attentive. Their side dishes (banchan) were all super fresh and delicious! (Especially loved their japchae & muk) The crab was fresh and the marinade was just right – usually I can’t finish a whole crab because it’s too salty at other places, but here I could enjoy the whole thing! While it’s a bit pricey for the portion size, the quality makes it worth trying. Located in a plaza with parking, though it can get busy at times. The spacious dining area makes it great for family dinners!

If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in La Habra, Ye Dang is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive — the kind of warm, genuine service that makes you feel like family.

The food? Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was full of rich, traditional flavor — from perfectly marinated bulgogi to sizzling hot stone bibimbap. Their side dishes (banchan) were fresh and plentiful, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.

Best of all, the prices are super reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. It’s rare to find a spot that nails authentic taste, great service, and value all in one, but Ye Dang does it effortlessly. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true Korean dining experience!
