Always consistent ice cream at all Ye Ole Fashioned locations! Large, delicious servings. Pictured is two scoops with caramel, fudge (very thick), whipped cream, and wet walnuts POURING over the edge of the double cup Not pictured is a small (more like a medium) birthday cake milkshake with sprinkles. Their birthday cake flavor has chunks of actually birthday cake in it!

I was absolutely blown away by the service and genuinely happy-to-help attitude I received from Lakota and Kiana tonight. I mentioned to Lakota that I have a food allergy and asked if she knew which flavors were safe. Without hesitation, she said she would go back and check every single flavor if she had to. That response was so refreshing, especially since questions like this are sometimes met with pushback or reluctance to check labels.

I was also concerned about cross-contamination, and Lakota immediately went the extra mile. She changed her gloves and even grabbed a brand-new tub of the flavor I wanted from the back. That level of care goes far beyond just good service. It made me feel safe, respected, and not like I was being an inconvenience.

While all of this was happening, Kiana was busy helping other customers, yet she was incredibly warm and friendly when I checked out. Her positive energy was the perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful experience.

Great service like this makes all the difference. I am so grateful for the care and kindness shown tonight, and I will definitely be back!

Great spot to get something cold after a hot day. They had the usual flavors and some unique ones too. I regret not asking for a sample of the Coconut castaway, it looked really good. I did not take a picture of my White chocolate raspberry truffle only because I devoured it. My wife really enjoyed her Black raspberry chocolate chip and our daughter said that the Blackcherry was good too.

We took the kids and their friends here for ice cream on a Saturday evening. The shop is on the southbound side of 17 in Mt. Pleasant and is easy to see from the road, especially at night.

The shop has two parts; a sandwich shop and an ice cream shop. The sandwich shop looks good but we didn’t try it. There was a long line for ice cream and their process is that a single person takes the order for your whole group, so if you have a lot of people (we had 7) then it might take a while for that single person to serve you all especially if you have a complex order. The reason I mention this is that the next server will call the next group and then there are a bunch of people all jammed around the counter trying to see the ice cream and taste their options. It basically gets to be a mess and you are constantly shuffling around people as they try to pay, etc.

Once we finally got our order, which literally took about 15 minutes since the server had to change out some ice cream boxes and got very confused about what we ordered, I finally got my cone which was really poorly assembled and difficult to eat without making a mess. I honestly was disappointed because the server was frustrated and it was 100% avoidable.

But I was the only one complaining. The kids ordered banana splits and sundaes which they thought were great. My cone, despite being messy, was good though I didn’t love the flavor I chose. The ice cream was high quality and they have a ton of toppings as well as milkshakes, etc.

I would go back but my preference would be to go with a smaller group (or break a large group up) instead of having one big order.

There is a lot of parking but it does get crowded. A bit of patience is required when it’s busy.

Very friendly service. We both gotho fudge brownie sundaes. So good! The dining room has a lot of seating and was kept clean. Plenty of seats outside as well as parking.

Ye Old is a must visit! Their BLT really has 10 slices of bacon, it was difficult to get it to fit into my mouth. The Club Sandwich was equally sized. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. All the employees showed pride in working there. Our server said she had worked there for 27 years. It’s obvious the original founder was a fan of the since closed Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour, a number of their ice cream dishes were named the same. Their ice cream was really good. There are a few locations in the Charleston area and we’ll worth the visit.

This is a nice, quaint ice cream shop that offers hot food as well.
There’s not a lot of seating inside, but there is additional seating outside.
The BLT is delicious, and the food portions are huge, so be prepared to share fries and tots. We will definitely try the ice cream on our next trip.

We visit Mt. Pleasant almost every year and this is the first time we ate here and went back twice during our visit! This is the best ice cream and banana splits we have had here. The food is also amazing and the portions are large. Definitely recommended!!

BLT is not worth the money anymore. It advertises 10 slices of bacon, but what they fail to mention is the bacon now has the thickness of a piece of paper. All 10 slices put together make approximately 4 of the old slices. It used to be worth it. I am from out of state and try to make it a mission to order from here every work visit, but not anymore. It’s really disappointing and I hope this is just the result of an inventory order mistake.
