This is a great place to go for Friday fish fry if you want to experience a better than average Wisconsin fish fry. We had a yummy perch with homemade potato pancakes, tartar sauce and Cole slaw. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive.

Saturday night I was in the southeast region of Wisconsin and I met up with a friend RF and we decided to go to the metropolis of Lyons Wisconsin population 3648. We both wanted to try Ye Olde Hotel Bar and Restaurant. We started at the bar where I got my $5 whiskey old fashioned and Ron got a Miller High Life. Shortly we were escorted to our table. By this time our drinks were almost gone and Ron decided for a shot of jag. As we looked over the menu and our waitress came over, we decided to go a little different route and try try the potstickers. I thought they were delicious. With my meal I got a salad and got french onion soup with cheese. He was so happy to only get charged $1 for cheese. Ron wanted the prime rib but it was the Saturday night special and was already sold out. Thus, we both went with the steer fillet medium rare and a lobster Add-On for $25. We both thought that was a great deal. Ron got his steak with blue cheese and I got mine with mushrooms. I didn’t get any dessert but Ron got a blueberry cheesecake to go.

Needed a place that was between my friend’s house and mine. Somewhere comfortable for a “catch up” dinner. This restaurant was in the right place and AUCE fish sounded really good. It was!
The food was very good and the decor around the place was even better. If you want to go back in time a little bit or just appreciate a dining room with a museum attitude, this is a place you really want to stop at. So many cool items to catch your eye.
Not sure how to describe the service… The bartender also took care of us in the dining room. Makes sense not to have a large staff since most of the people were in the bar area. There were 2 tables occupied (this was a weekday) and another person wasn’t necessary. As I mentioned, we wanted a catch up kind of dinner. We were in it for the long haul and talking a lot and weren’t really interested in the “in your face” service. She was SUPER friendly and kept us fed and watered! We were happy with it. If you want a server that is all over you, keep in mind that common sense staffing might not get you that here – at least not during the week. Can’t talk about weekends.
If you want good food, very cool decor and friendly service, you need to stop in here. This is an easy to get to, laid back small town restaurant that you will enjoy.

The Wife and I came in for a great experience today. We had the fried cheese curds to start, I had the fried perch and she had a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Both of us enjoyed the great food. Heather was super delightful as a waitress and even took the time to fill us in on some of the incredible history of the building and area.

Heather and her husband are very welcoming. We had the fried chicken dinner and I’m telling you it was outstanding!! Great drinks and interesting history throughout the restaurant. It’s like a small local museum. Keep that in mind while looking at all of the vintage artifacts! I highly recommend giving them a visit!!!

As always we had an amazing experience. Food was cooked to perfection. Amazing Old Fashion drink and perfectly cooked prime rib. Owners, Heather & Joe are great. We really love this place.

It’s a very nice old-style restaurant. The food was very good. The king $24 prime rib was very good, and the sides were tasty as well. The staff is very friendly, and you feel like it is a family-owned business. Prices are very nice compared to Lake Geneva prices, and it’s only a 10-minute drive from Grand Geneva Resort. I highly recommend this place if you visit Lake Geneva and you want to get away from the tourist trap.

We were denied service by the owner/waitress. She was talking to her girlfriends, obviously more important than having guests in her restaurant. The place is kind of a dump if you ask me. I made an effort to support them and they didn’t want our business. Not very impressed. Definitely gotta be part of the click.

Came up here on an invite from Brian Clark, who has his Pro Mod Mustang in the car show. Pretty good turnout for the car show. Quite the friendly atmosphere. Nice place, I’ll have to come back here for prime rib.

Dining could be updated, But it’s still the place to eat if you find yourself in Lyons if you’re not trying to either wait forever, or spend $$$. Pros: Burgers are better than fast food, dinners are nice enough for price, better on the special nights. Revisit when I’m in town 710
