Service is lacking unless you’re a regular. Took way too long to order and pay the bill. The soup was far better than my meal. I had Snapper soup and the open face, hand carved roast beef with mashed potatoes. Beef was cold, mashed and gravy was room temp at best. The fish and chips that my dining companion had was very good. For a place that boasts about their roast beef, it wasn’t great. Could be a cool, old school place to go but missed the mark.

This spot was suggested by a local and boy it did not disappoint! My boyfriend said his French onion soup was “the best I’ve had in a LONG time”. Our whole group got burgers and all were solid – well made, well cooked, good toppings. My patty melt was incredible. Decor is English pub meets late 70s wood obsession. Staff was friendly and meals came out quick. Definitely don’t sleep on this spot.

Ok, so out first time here tonight.
We didn’t know what to expect. All we wanted was a quiet drink and a bite to eat. So, when we arrived the girl at the bar just said sit where you want. So we found a seat and that was that. A really nice lady came over and have us some menus and asked us what drink we would like.
My fiancée chose a cider. I wanted to try a beer I hadn’t had before. (I’m a bit weird like that, sorry). Anyway she told me the beers she had and I picked one. She brought it out, and then we chose the food. Fried mushrooms. Lovely! I’ll be having these again.
But that will have to wait for out next visit.
My fiancée ordered the turkey with gravy and I got fish and chips.
Oh and another beer. Another different one.

The food here was great.
The staff very nice, pleasant and a pleasure being around.
The service was excellent.
The drinks were good too. Could do with a bigger beer selection, but the selection they had is good with me anyway, if just like to see a fee more on there. Or maybe a rotation of different craft beers perhaps. (Just an idea).
Parking was right outside the door.
The place was clean and tidy, and the whole atmosphere was very welcoming.

I’d definitely recommend this bar and there isn’t many places I’d say that about.

Other places take note, you need staff like the ones here. – Because as Tony the tiger would say, ‘They’re great!’

I was strolling around the area looking for a place to have lunch and found this place on Google. I was a little hesitant since it was described as a pub bar and I was with my younger daughter. When I walked in, since it was early, there were only a few people there. ‍♀️ After a few minutes of waiting, a friendly lady served us. ‍♀️ The menu, nothing complicated, but it looked very good. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. We ordered the pub burger and the whiskey sauce burger. PHENOMENAL! Both were well cooked and beautifully presented. The fries had that crispy outside and soft inside that very few people achieve… both burgers were very large. It has ample parking and reasonable prices. ️ The place was comfortable, and at least at the time I went, it seemed cozy. 100% recommended.

We were looking for a place to have lunch and we didn’t want a chain restaurant. My stepdad said there’s place he been passing by for years when he’s working but never tried, Ye Old Coventry Pub. They’re supposed to be known for their roast beef sandwiches, he said. I looked it up and saw that they had a good rating so we went. It has an old school local bar feel, full of friendly locals. I’m not from around here but felt very welcome. The woman behind the bar was also our waitress. She was very friendly and accommodating and she made great drinks. All the staff were also friendly. The apps, soup and roast beef were really good on nice fresh rolls and plenty of juice on the side if you ask for it. This place will now be the place to come to when visiting my parents. We all loved it here. Just one thing we didn’t like but no big deal. If you get cold or chilly easy bring a little sweater. It was a little cold inside even though it was 90+ degrees outside.

936th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. I love Ye Olde Coventry Pub!! You can have lunch at the bar with the local contractors or play bridge with the ladies in the dining room!! Linda was a very welcoming and gracious host. She was determined to get the perfect blend of Lancaster’s Double Chocolate Stout and Strawberry Wheat in my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Beer and she did!! The meals we saw coming out of the kitchen were huge. We got the day’s special, prime rib sandwich. It came with wonderfully coated french fries. Me not loving my sandwich was probably more of a me problem. The meat was a touch well done for me. I would have liked a different cheese.

So you’re going to walk in and a bunch of regulars sitting around the bar might create an initial air of awkwardness but I’m going to need you to push past this and have a seat in the back dining room. There you will find a sparsely decorated colonial feel with a couple handfull of tables. We had some beers of which there was a good number and of different varieties, not just IPAs. I had the whiskey burger it was good but nothing phenomenal, the Mrs had the crab cake sandwich which was the winner of the two. Also get the cheese steak egg rolls if they’re on the board to the left when you come in. This is a solid establishment not just an acceptable one as other reviews would suggest, will be back again.

Hometown Pub with Owners & Employees sharing lots of love with their Servings. Not from the area and looking for a taste of Corned beef on St Patrick’s Day, co-workers suggested there’d be a good chance to find it here as they serve up one Big Beauty of a Roastbeed Sandwich daily…their signature meal, roast beef centered in viewing distance from the bar & warmed under red heat lamp…a definite attention grabber. Stopped in early after work to a friendly Bartender pleased to share, full Corned Beef Dinners for the day.
$15.00 served me enough for 2 people or more! Had to have a Guinness with this fine plate of delicious Irishness!
