Yavapai Tavern is a great spot for a casual and satisfying meal at the Grand Canyon. Prices are affordable, especially considering the location inside the park.
The elk burger was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A really nice surprise was being offered a free beer right outside when I arrived, which immediately set a welcoming and relaxed tone.
The location is extremely convenient, making it an easy stop during a day of exploring. Good food, friendly atmosphere, and great value. Definitely worth stopping by.

We had a great experience here! All the food came out quickly for it being so busy! As busy as it was, there was no wait and they kept people coming and going. Being at the Grand Canyon, the place was also very big inside and had a gift shop! I ate every last bite of my food and a few bites of my boyfriend’s food. He got a burger and pizza which are not shown. I definitely did not leave there hungry. At all. Lol Anyways, yes. I recommend going there over the coffee shops at the points in the canyon bc those were a disaster. One of them was closed, which is why we came here in the first place bc it was the only other place to get food and I was starving. So glad we did!

Really enjoyed eating here! The Elk burger was super juicy and full of flavor, and the pizza was nice and cheesy (could have been a bit bigger, though). The kids loved the Mac’n’cheese, perfect size for them.
I’m a big fan of their fully digital ordering system, super easy to use and makes the whole experience so smooth. Staff were great too, really friendly and quick.
Prices are fair, and the place is easy to get to since it’s right on the street. Definitely coming back!

While visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim, we stopped at this restaurant inside the national park for lunch before touring the area. They serve quick and tasty meals like sandwiches, burgers, salads, tacos, and quesadillas. The food was good! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Since the weather was beautiful during our visit, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings while we ate.

They have an outdoor area that is great with space heaters and a large fire pit for cool evenings. The indoor area is casual. Food selections are pretty good. I had an elk burger that was great. My son loved his American burger with “all” the fixings. Salads and chicken was also great. Kid menu is fun. Pet friendly offerings include a hamburger patty for fido.

We like the 3 pulled pork tacos, moist, the right balance between the mix, warm & tasty. Pricey but as expected, it is in the national park.
Nice ambience & temperature. Outdoor & indoor seatings. The noise of the door connecting to outdoor seating is a little noisy & frequently used.

We heard about the Elk Burger from the shuttle bus driver and decided to try it ourself! It’s amazingly delicious! I personally think that it taste like beef, but a bit tougher. But since it’s been minced to a party, the chewiness is adding a nice texture to the burger. No weird smell whatsoever. Salsa sauce is also very nice. The soup is not my cup of tea, i think it’s too thick to be called a soup.

After a long hike on the Rim Trail, my wife and I stopped at Yavapai Tavern to refuel. We both ordered beer, which was ice-cold, refreshing, and absolutely hit the spot—perfect after a day on the trail.
I had the Melted Elk burger, which had great flavor but was unfortunately quite dry. My wife ordered the Warm Grain Bowl, which also leaned heavily on the dry side and came with a tiny amount of dressing that didn’t quite do the job.
That said, the atmosphere was great, the service was solid, and the beer alone made it a worthwhile stop. A few improvements on the food side would easily make this a 5-star experience.
