First time trying Yassou and we enjoyed both plates! We had the Shrimp plate and the Souvlaki plate and both were tasty! I’ll definitely be back! Additional photos located on my profile page and videos on my Instagram page @Primarilylasvegas

We have been eating at this Greek café for over 15 years now and it is simply the best Greek dining experience in town. This small, family-owned business is also one of the friendliest places around and we can thank Pops and Christian for making us always feel like we are family. So, if you wish to experience an exquisite culinary journey of Greek foods, then Yassou Greek Grill Café is the place for you.

I wanted to like this place more. The service is friendly, and it seems family or locally owned.
It’s counter service but the gal also had to bring out the main dishes. Just her and the cook working, and it seemed a popular take out place.
My gyro was a little salty. It wasn’t as seared as I’m used to
Spouse’s kabobs were cooked nicely, but not that seasoned.
Yassou Greek Grill seems popular in the neighborhood, but it wasn’t quite what i wanted.

Yassou isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a piece of Las Vegas history. Family-owned and deeply rooted in the community, they’ve been sharing their love of Greek food and hospitality for generations. The owners actually helped found the Las Vegas Greek Festival back in 1973, and you can feel that same pride and warmth in every dish they serve.
The food is nothing short of incredible. The flavors are fresh, rich, and unmistakably homemade — from the tender souvlaki to the flaky spanakopita. But the real standout is the rice. It sounds simple, but it’s unforgettable: perfectly seasoned, buttery, and cooked with so much care it could be a meal on its own. Sometimes- I get double just to eat later. I’ve tried at home to replicate it but I simply cannot.
It’s rare to find a place where every bite is delicious, but Yassou has mastered. The family behind it is as wonderful as their food — genuine, kind, and committed to keeping their traditions alive. If you want a true taste of old-school Vegas hospitality mixed with authentic Greek comfort, Yassou is it.
I drive all the way from Seven Hills to eat here because it really is in a class of its own.

Cheryl N obviously doesnt know Greek food. The name should give that away. I was in Vegas for work and as a first Gen Greek who’s family owns restaurants I can honestly say this is the best gyro in the states I’ve ever had. Can’t wait till my next trip to Vegas for work so I can go see Christo and get a gyro and avgolemeno soup.

Listen I had been eating at this restaurant as an in-dining experience and mostly as of late as a take-out experience. My husband and I had been loving this place for nearly 20 years! This is the best food not only in taste but I’m telling you the quality is impeccable. This is healthy eating! I should eat here 3x a day!
