Our experience was amazing! First we had our appetizers crab rangoon and spicy bamboo shoot salad. Adding to that we also had tom yum soup, and our main course was the lime chicken and panang cury. !!THANK YOU FOR READING THIS REVIEW!!

I love this place! Eating on the outdoor patio feels like you are dining in a tree house. It is so fun. The coconut soup is delicious. The curry is great and not too spicy. Highly recommend!

Got takeout Pad Thai here while visiting family in Chicago. A family member bought it, so I didn’t actually see the restaurant or talk to any staff. The Pad Thai was very good, though; lots of noodles, fresh veggies, and peanuts. It was delicious! If I’m ever in the area again, I will go here!

Do not eat here— my entire party got horrible food poisoning from this restaurant.
Red flag should’ve been when we were given wine glasses with used lipstick on them— clearly the kitchen has no hygiene standards. Will be reporting Yasotorn to the department of health as we’re worried we have salmonella exposure from eating here. For your health and wellbeing, avoid this restaurant

Very rarely do you have come across a restaurant these days that has a great atmosphere, great service and great food. Yasotorn is a hidden gem that has all 3! Easily one of my new favorite restaurants.

Their rooftop patio was calm, quiet and relaxing. A few other diners but not loud or overwhelming on Friday night. It was literally tucked away with trees around. The restaurant seems to be in an old house.

Our server was prompt, kind and aware of allergies.

The food tasted fresh, homemade and plenty of vegetables. Large portions! I also found the pricing to be so fair. We had fresh summer rolls with amazing peanut sauce. Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sen and fried rice. It was absolutely delicious! I have a gluten allergy and my friend is vegetarian, they had plenty of options for both of us. It is so hard to find restaurant food that tastes fresh I swear. This was like someone’s mom just bought the ingredients today and made it for us.

I would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago! But what really made it exceptional was the service from our waiter Paul who was so attentive to our group. I will be back again soon. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Good vibes! Bossa nova playing over the speakers was a nice touch. I have genuinely never liked Thai food in my life, but I wanted to give it another shot here, and it wasn’t bad at all. Also, the waitress split our bill two ways, and that was very kind. If you like Thai food, this is the spot for sure!

The coconut shrimp was really good, fried with coconut flakes on the outside – I liked it. For the main course, we ordered the green curry chicken with extra rice on the side. It was really well-prepared, and I truly enjoyed it. Finally, the dessert was amazing. It was like a Turkish rice pudding, but with mango and coconut milk. I loved the taste. I would definitely come back just for this dessert and dish. We sat on the terrace, and it was very spacious and comfortable.

If you are a crab rangoon lover or on a search for the best crab rangoon, u MUST try here.
I can assure you it will be at your top of the list.

Having said this, their food is really good. Today, we got crab rangoon, fried calamari, panang curry, pad see eiw and pad kee mao.
You can tell noodles were cooked at very hot temperature, vegetables were just crunch enough, not mushy. Well seasoned and overall cooked very nice.
Curry was sweet yet not flavorful, very nice portion as well.

But I almost gave 4 stars due to price… I mean, just from a few months ago I was here, price on each dish increased by 4 dollars. That is 30% increase approximately, and that is tough to swallow.
I mean, look at price on dessert, that is outrageous. Who is paying 11.95 for mango sticky rice? 6.95 for ice cream? Ridiculous.
I asked for some hot sauce, got what looks like sambal sauce, and was charged .50 cents.

Overall, Im still giving 5 stars purely on food, which is one and most important aspect of my judgment on restaurant. I’m just sad about new pricing.
