I stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and my lamb dinner was delicious. The lamb was hot moist tender and served on a big bed of rice with a side salad garnish. It also came with a unique zesty green sauce that I really enjoyed! My side of naan bread was also delicious! Thank you for a delicious and unique dining experience.

I love this place, have been coming here for years. The chai is to dye for hot, cheap, and spicy. I hadn’t had chai till I’d had there’s. The chapati with the spinach is fanatic. I crave the wrappers on the sambusas like none other. You can’t go wrong with any of the main courses. I’m working my way through the menu but get stuck on each dish for a while cause they are yummy. Good food, portion sizes and people.

Yasmeen Restaurant in Kansas City is truly one of the top Somali dining spots, offering outstanding food and excellent customer service. Their lamb wasla with rice is a personal favorite—tender, flavorful, and prepared in a unique way that really stands out. Whenever I’m in Kansas City and craving a satisfying meal, I make it a point to visit, no matter how far I have to travel. I’ve been coming here for over two years, and the quality of their dishes has never disappointed me. The flavors even remind me of authentic Mandi meat from Saudi Arabia. The staff makes the experience even better, especially the tall gentleman whose warm and friendly service always makes me feel welcome

I don’t really like the location of this restaurant but the food was amazing! Prices are affordable and portions are so generous that you can have enough for at least 2 meals(if you order 1 portion for yourself). I didn’t like the mango juice as it felt watered down but other than that the tea and the food were phenomenal.

We went as a group and ordered the fish, lamb, goat and chicken suqaar. My favourite part? The green sauce that came with the food.

I really hate to leave a negative review on this place as it has been one of my favorite places to go these whole year to the point where I’ve come in at least every other week for the samosa’s. At first they were always fresh and hot ..the whole last couple of months they have been hot on the outside and real cold on the inside. I don’t know if the cooks have got lazy but these are no longer enjoyable and I will be giving my business elsewhere to other business’s who will take pride in the quality of the food they serve. Mind you I have complained about this issue to the establishment multiple times with no change on their end.

I live in Olathe, Kansas, which means I often drive 15 to 20 miles just to enjoy a meal at this place. My brother recommended it to me on Saturday evening, and after experiencing the delicious food, I decided to take the whole family there the very next day. The food was outstanding, and the mango juice was simply phenomenal!

This place is such a gem. I loved it. They have Halal food and they make it good.
The price is great for the amount, absolutely worth it
The menu is short and simple, but everything is made well.
We ordered Goat with rice and Beef with Ugali. It was so delicious. Later we also got a mango lassi. We also discovered that they sell samosas but it was nowhere on the menu. If you are a regular you probably know but were were there for the first time.
They are probably going through a renovation or something because the widows were missing? Idk n idc. The food was so good. I want to go again.

We were visiting KC and wanted an early lunch. We looked up halal restaurants close by and this popped up. After seeing the low amount of Google reviews we thought let’s try with zero expectations. We walked in and asked the owner at the counter what he recommended, he said lunch was too early to serve at 11am and he recommended getting breakfast, and he’ll serve us what he had. Told us to try the chai also. We agreed and were delighted. The chai was spicy and hot, the ginger in it was something we never had, it was good. For breakfast we got the meat stew with injira was pretty good, heavy but delicious.

I can see why people may not like the service or have high expectations. My advice is to just try it, be patient and change your views on how you think a restaurant should operate. The food is delicious…. Just soak up the environment and culture

Counter service, very casual. Friendly service. Some might be turned off by the room but the food, as soon as I took a bite of the lamb I said “woah”. The food is very good. The curried spinach was great and the ugali was good but the lamb was excellent. “Woah” , that’s how good the lamb is.
