We had our wedding rehearsal here and came here to celebrate at night after our wedding reception at Echo Mountain. We all loved it so much that we came back here again the night after our wedding with all of our guests who were still in town. It is in a perfect location (we all were able to walk from where we were all staying throughout Idaho Springs and walk here after getting Beau Jos and going to other restaurants, shops, and markets downtown). We love that you can bring your own food (and one good & convenient option is the popular BBQ place owned by the same family right across the street). The owners and all the other staff we encountered were so kind and they all went above and beyond for us and our guests – they seriously gave us the best experience ever. Even the locals we met there were the sweetest people and helped us celebrate. Yards will always have a special place in our hearts and we all hope to come back as much as possible forever! It is super dog-friendly, a great atmosphere for all, and serves a good variety of awesome drinks with incredible service (the touch tunes are always a bonus, too). Great prices and the pickle shots were a hit. We are beyond thankful for everything you did to make our wedding long weekend so special! We’ll definitely be back.

The craft beers were amazing here. The waitress there was very friendly and helpful in terms of selecting right beers for our liking. A highly recommended place in Idaho springs.

Came here on my way back to Denver, at the and I had found a new favorite bar and made some new friends. The atmosphere is super welcoming and the choice of drinks (including the amazing pickle shots) should cater everyone. Special thanks to Suze for the stickers. I’ll try to be back soon!

I’m a regular at Smokin Yards and love it. This was my first time at the taphouse, and I had a wonderful time. They have 35 craft lines, and most of them are from Colorado. However, the best part of our experience was a lovely beertender named Lima who made our visit unforgettable. She was not only the friendliest bartender I’ve ever encountered but also made sure everything we needed was taken care of. I’ll be sure to come back, especially when she’s working.

Cozy local “mountain biker friendly” pub with friendly staff. Great selection of beers from a variety of breweries and major bonus if you are there on the same day that my bartender was because he has the sweetest dog you’ve ever met!

I haven’t had the pleasure of dining or drinking here, but I talked to the owner and got a look inside. She is absolutely amazing and pleasant to talk to, the establishment is clean, cool and inviting. It’s really cool that they let a D&D group in to play on Tuesdays. I’m looking forward to adding to this review once I’ve gone out there one night.
