I’ll admit it—I’d never been to Yard House before. I usually stick to family-run spots, but sometimes places expand because they’ve nailed the key fundamentals of running a restaurant.
This Yard House is massive—upstairs and downstairs, right in the epicenter of Times Square chaos—but I was seated immediately and the server was genuinely excellent.
Two solid recommendations later, I was locked in and ready to put in work.
Started with the spicy tuna stack, which was fantastic: clean, fresh fish with just enough heat to keep things interesting.
Then came the main event: the Bleu Cheese and Bacon Burger with Truffle fries.
I am not kidding…this might be one of the best burgers I’ve had so far while here in New York.
Ridiculously decadent, piping hot (which matters more than people realize), with that perfect balance of sharp bleu cheese cutting through rich bacon and beef. The truffle fries were crispy, indulgent, and exactly the right sidekick they needed to be.
Sure, they had 18 simultaneous college basketball games playing from three time zones of teams I couldn’t pick out of a lineup…but honestly? When a burger hits this hard, I don’t care if I’m eating it inside a mosh pit!

We had the sashimi and fire / bang bang shrimp starters, the truffle burger and mango chicken for mains. Highly recommend.
The food menu was equally impressive in its diversity and variety.
The tuna salad was refreshing, a strong sesame oil flavour, with the tuna goes perfectly.
The Jambalaya was great, very filling, a bit on the heavy side. Loved the strength of those blackened shrimp.
The orange chicken was a tad on the sweet side for me, but a nice addition. Super crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The firecracker shrimp also great, only not as crunchy as I would have liked, and not spicy at all for me.
I’m sure paired with the recommended beers, the meal would have been elevated.
Huge compliments to the kitchen as well — the food was outstanding! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell the care and quality that goes into each dish.
Overall, a fantastic experience thanks to Maya’s top-notch service and the incredible work of the kitchen. Great team !!!!!!
The standout feature is undoubtedly their massive selection of draft beers. With dozens of taps lining the bar, there’s something for every palate—from crisp light ales to complex, hoppy IPAs. Pairing a “Half Yard” glass with their delicious appetizers makes the experience even more memorable. Whether you’re there to catch a game or just enjoy a night out with friends, the fun never stops at Yard House.
