Located in the ‘Villages of Escaya’ on Avenida Escaya and Heritage Rd with plenty of parking, but can be difficult to find a spot during peak hours due to neighboring businesses.
Besides coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, they serve ‘Chilaquiles, Breakfast Croissants and Toast, Parfait, and Crepes’. They also have pastries and lunch bites such as ‘Chicken Club Sandwich, Salmon Croissant, and Chicken Wrap’.
I had their ‘Ube Dream’ drink over ice which consists of condensed milk, sweet foam, and Ube drizzle. Definitely a treat because this is a very sweet drink, just what I needed. My cousin had an iced ‘Matcha Meets Fresa’, the fresa mix is made with oat milk which can not be changed as is pre-mixed. Both drinks were delicious!
You order at the counter and find an open table if you plan on having your meal there. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but it gets busy during weekend breakfast hours with a full lobby. The line was to the door but surprisingly, it moved fast. You can also order online and pick up.
Service was great. Shootout to ‘Froylan’, he was extremely welcoming and helpful with the menu as it was our first visit. He even gave us a sample of their ‘Café de Olla’ served cold, which was interesting.
Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely return to try other menu items.

11/7/2025 – Ordered online before work and was hoping to order a pastry upon arrival; however, I wasn’t welcomed when I stepped inside this morning. I was ignored when I stepped up to the cashier to look at the pastries, which made me refrain from purchasing one. Just grabbed my coffee and left. It’s a cute small intimate coffee shop however I will never visit this place again.

The location is easy to get to, and the atmosphere had a great vibe—very relaxed and welcoming. We ended up staying for a few hours, and the staff was consistently friendly and attentive the whole time. One thing to note: there aren’t many outlets available, so it’s best to come with your device fully charged.
I appreciated the community-oriented feel of the space, which added a nice touch. If you’re in a hurry, you can order online for pickup, though the line tends to move fairly quickly anyway.
I also really enjoyed the drink I ordered—super flavorful and well-made. As for the food, I was a bit disappointed in the vegan options. They didn’t quite hit the mark for me, and I probably wouldn’t order food here again. That said, I’d absolutely come back for the drinks.

Their lattes are delicious with so many flavors to choose from. They range in sweetness from the Ube Dream – which literally tastes like ube ice cream – to a little stronger with their classic yaqui lattes. They also have seasonal specials like the guava cheesecake latte and the chocolate berry.
So far my favorites are the Ube Dream and the classic vanilla yaqui latte with cold foam.
I also really liked the dulce beso and the horchata latte.

Yaqui is exactly what u look for in a good coffee house. With only being open for 8 months , they had continued flow of customers coming in. Great warm hospitality from the beginning. Great choices of classic coffees and espressos and also on tap cold brews. They also have their own inspired coffees and lattes that go with the unique theme of their coffee house. Great chilaqilles!!! AMERICANO and Cafe de Olla cold brew (highly recommend ). I will continue to frequent this Awesome coffe house / cafe!!!

My friend and I were on a mission today to find a highly rated coffee spot and that led us to Yaqui Cafe, just nearby with a solid 4.7 stars. We excitedly ordered two Matcha Meets Fresa (matcha + strawberry cream), The San Diegan for me, and the Mexican Carbonara Sandwich for Lei.
But just as we were about to pay, we hit a snag: they don’t accept cash. I had forgotten my card, and my Samsung/Google Pay wasn’t cooperating. As we stepped aside to figure out how to add my info to Lei’s phone wallet, a kind blonde-haired staff member approached us and offered to make an exception. She was incredibly warm and understanding, even apologizing when it wasn’t their fault at all. That small act of kindness made our day.
The staff really made us feel welcome and cared for. The experience, combined with amazing food and drinks, made Yaqui Cafe our new favorite spot. Everything was delicious fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. As a coffee and matcha lover, I’m excited to try all their drinks soon!

You NEED to try the Mayan On Wheels!!!! Soooo delicious! Wow! I came in here randomly, it was packed on a Tuesday during work hours, and I now understand why. The Mayan on Wheels is definitely a favorite! We also tried the Churro De Mi Corazón and enjoyed that, but secondly to the Mayan. We also ordered food and loved it. I will definitely be back!

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Yaqui! The ube latte is delicious, as is the brown sugar latte, and current seasonal cinnamon roll latte. I also personally love the chicken caesar wrap. Their customer service is amazing- even kind enough to let me sample a drink while I waited today. Consistently good service and products!

This is seriously one of the best coffee shops in the county, maybe even the best coffee experience I’ve ever had. The food options and drinks are phenomenal with a perfect balance of ambiance and social setting on a Friday morning.
