This restaurant was amazing!

The food was delicious with highlights being the aguachile and the toro y mole!

A must try if in the Roma Norte area.

The cocktails were also tasty! I had a matcha colada which was so different and delicious!

A swanky vibe with food that exceeds expectations. We popped in for a light bite and boy oh boy were we in for a treat. The ambiance is on point. BUT THE FOOD!!! Miso soup, perfection. The gymnastics de birria was a brilliant flavor combination that set the bar high. We went the Honoo roll, again they knocked it out of the park. Crunchy, creamy, delicate medley played in our mouths. My husband was literally dancing in his seat. It started raining so we stayed a bit longer for a drink. The Japanese whiskey was a perfect way to end our night out. To our surprise, a dessert was dropped at our table, compliments of the house. It was a delicious flan de cojeta with a marzipan crumble. Excellent. Service was 5 star. Highly recommend, we will be back again.

Amazing cocktails (off and on menu), food and service from Angel, the bar captain.

– Cocktails range from old school classics to on the fly experiments from Angel.
– Appetizers and main dishes are solid Japanese-Mexican fusion offerings full of flavor and punch.

Angel is the greatest asset YAPAN has. Please engage in conversation with him, you’ll have a great time!

Ordered a few different appetizers for dinner. The gyoza de birria were amazing. The sauce on them, just kept moving them around to get more sauce. The ribeye tacos in a sesame sauce was mind blowing. Reminded me a bit of a Thai peanut sauce. The service was attentive and knowledgeable.

We were warmly welcomed by the manager, Claudio, who invited us in and made us feel right at home! The food is both unique and delicious, a Mexican-Japanese fusion. The wait staff was incredibly attentive, and Claudio took the time to explain the menu and make thoughtful recommendations. He checked in on us frequently, providing great service!

I really enjoyed my experience at Yapan. The mix of flavors is unique – you can taste both the freshness of Japanese cuisine and the boldness of Mexican spices. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the atmosphere very welcoming. It’s a perfect spot if you want something different and flavorful. I’ll definitely come back!

Excellent Mexican-Japanese food, very creative and a really gift to the palate. The whole staff was just great, right from the entrance where there is a very welcoming person, and the waiters and cooks are great at suggesting what you should try according to what you know about Japanese and Mexican foods. The atmosphere was very calmed and allowed for easy talking/listening. I will definitely would go back to try other different dishes from the menu. Thank you

I ate here late on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and provided several stellar recommendations from drinks all the way through dessert, while we chatted throughout the meal, which was very welcome, as I’ve been traveling alone and reading or doomscrolling while eating out. The food was extremely delicious and very inventive. I particularly enjoyed the sesame-crusted tuna served over a spicy mole. The entire meal, with two starters, a cocktail and a beer, a main, and a dessert, with a 15% tip, was about $80 USD, which I found to be a great value for the cuisine, atmosphere, and service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I went here a couple nights ago. We ordered maki, nagiri, and the risotto. The sushi was honestly some of the worst sushi I’ve had in my life. I would have preferred sushi from a grocery store. My girlfriend ordered the risotto which she said was very unique and delicious. So perhaps it is a matter of ordering the right items. However, for a Japenese restaurant, one would assume that you would receive quality sushi (or at least somewhat tasty).
