Food was **SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!** We had a party of 3 and drove all the way from Vancouver, BC to try this restaurant and it was actually worth it.
We ordered the Meat platter, 8 oz Lamb & Feta Burger Wrap, and the Pork Souvlaki Shawarma. Everything was super good and full of flavour. The meats were cooked really well, tasted fresh, and the portions were solid too. Honestly, everything was was good my entire group was blown away.
What made it even better was the owner gave us a pita dip platter on the house as an appetizer, which was really nice and made the experience feel even more welcoming.
Overall EXCEPTIONAL food, AMAZING portions, and GREAT hospitality. If we’re in Seattle again we would definitely come back. I wish others to feel my excitement. Easy 5 stars.
P.S. I WANT TO EAT MORE!!!!!!! TOO MUCH FLAVOR!!!

This restaurant brought me to Greek or Greek to me, or both. Extremely pretty decoration and unique ambiance, I was amazed. No photos do it justice, you have to be there to see with your own eyes. We love everything we ordered there, and we ordered a lot. Portion was very generous (much more than we thought it would be so we ended up eating too much and stil brought enough home for 2 more meals – no complain here, just so you know if you’re here for the firs time). Everything tasted delicious and we will for sure be back. Our waiter was very cool too. I really liked it there

I went to Yanni’s Greek because I wanted to experience what Gordon Ramsay did on Kitchen Nightmares. First of all, I sat at the same table that Gordon did so that was an interesting start. I started off with the lamb lollipops which were very good and the perfect appetizer size. Then I got my moussaka as my main entree. Even though Ramsay criticized it and I am a fan of his, I felt his review was wrong. The moussaka here is made to order so it does take time. I grew up in a Greek neighborhood so I know what good moussaka is. When I dug into my moussaka, it was piping hot, wasn’t oily and very flavorful. It’s 100% legit moussaka for sure and it’s worth the wait. It’s absolutely shocking when you see what Ramsay said and what he wanted them to do in regards to their moussaka. I’m so glad they stuck to their guns and kept this dish the way they’ve always done it. I finished my moussaka to the last bite. I can’t wait to return to Seattle just to order this again. Alyse is right, it is definitely a 10 out of 10.
When you dine at Yanni’s, you absolutely must order the baklava ice cream. That is the best way to end your meal here. The baklava provides a great texture to the ice cream but it doesn’t come off as soggy or inedible. It is blended in nicely with the creamy ice cream and comes off as guilty pleasure because it’s not overly sweet so you can devour it easily. I lucked out because they had like a half a portion left and they gave it to me. Thank you Karen for giving me this opportunity! I was so happy to have tried it and it really put an exclamation point to my meal. By the time I left, the restaurant was packed and I can see why.
Even though I went to Seattle as a tourist, I always dine where the locals go. If the locals love it, then you know you’re in for a treat. I was so happy to hear all of the stories about the Kitchen Nightmares experience. It was so interesting to me because you can really see what they gained from the show (decor and menu decisions) and it really made me love Yanni’s even more. I wished I had asked about the pumpkin hummus because I see it’s no longer on the menu.

: 9/10. I went to this restaurant with my dear housemates before the concert and it was an amazing dinner! We got there around 6 and waited a while to get seated! It was very busy but definitely worth the wait! We ordered the fries and it was just so amazing with the taztatiki sauce, the fries are nicely seasoned and fried to perfection! It was an addiction!
: 9/10. We were greeted by this very nic lady and she was so genuine and nice! She has a fantastic smile and offered us the best dining experience! We waited a while for our food as well since the restaurant is very busy!
: 8/10: Just look at how cute the decors are and it immediately brings me to Greece! This is an amazing restaurant to visit if you are looking for a cozy vibe and this place is giving it! The ambiance is very nice and I love every minute that I spent here!

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Stumbled upon this randomly and mad I didn’t find it earlier. 10/10. Fresh, delicious, and top notch service/atmosphere. Our server, Jeff, was phenomenal and we truly enjoyed our meal. So happy to have found a new favorite.

This is a special place on Greenwood Ave. I lived in the area 20 years ago and would frequent this lovely neighborhood family run restaurant. It is still here despite all the change the neighborhood has seen. I was happy to have dined here again. The food exceeded my memory of it, and I was treated to some new items on the menu. The reason this place is still around in this neighborhood is because the community wants it, and they keep coming back for it. The food still comes out a little slow but the kitchen always does a great job. Grab some wine or this amazing Greek Lemonade.

Delicious Greek food and a fun assortment of Greek wine! I felt transported back to Greece which was the perfect antidote to a cold winter day. We did have to wait a long time for our reserved table however, and it was so crowded that it was hard to walk through the restaurant to our corner table and for our server to maneuver to check on us frequently. She was very friendly and lovely when she could squeeze through, though.

I love, love, love the food and the service!
Went here with a group of friends for dinner. Tried the dip platter, Fasolia Gigantes, Feta cheese fournou, Spanakopita and chicken Krasati. Can’t speak for the chicken – but everything I tried was delicious!
Don’t miss out on the fournou! It was mind blowing. And to think, I don’t even like feta!
I tried the lemony potatoes – they were yummy too!
For dessert, we ordered the Greek yogurt with Greek honey and fresh figs – heavenly!
And the lady who served our table taught me my first Greek word – ευχαριστώ (efkharisto)!
