I hate hate hate that you can’t make reservations unless you are a group of 6 or more. This whole place has a very 80s-90s vibe starting with you have to wait around for your table to be called. The hostess was professional but wow she has a hard job. We tried so hard to get in to eat here since my dad had been raving about the Caesar salad and pot roast… The place is super loud. Really cramped, the decor has not been updated at all, but why would you if you’re that busy. Honestly, the wine list was nice, I really enjoyed the California red zin that we got. The server seemed exhausted but he did a good job. The Caesar salad must have been made by someone different because it was really soupy. The pot roast meat was also cooked to death. Overall, this place reminded me of Applebee’s… My partner and I each got a Delmonico steak because we thought that seems like something fun to order. It was cooked correctly, but sliced the wrong way so each bite was incredibly tough to eat. Not sure i would eat here again unless early or late in the season. Not a restful experience.

Walk in Party of 9 at 6:30 on a Saturday night; we were seated within 3 minutes of arriving; great service, great server and very good food. With the size of our group, we had a wide review of the menu offerings and EVERYONE was happy!

Wonderful welcoming tavern, warm comfy ambience. Excellent hearty fare. Atlantic Salmon in Balsamic glaze sone of the best I’ve ever had. Great staff. Place was full all night but never felt too crowded or loud…just happy. Nice bar, always full.

I got the summer orchard salad and the dressing tasted like water and the lettuce was soggy. That was my biggest issue just not worth $20. My boyfriend got a wrap and it was a decent wrap though so just don’t get a salad. The food took quite a while to come out but the waitress was nice and checked on the food for us. Overall wouldn’t dine again, but not terrible.

Nice quiet comfortable restaurant. The service was excellent the atmosphere was layed back and friendly. The food was okay, it wasn’t the greatest but it wasn’t the worst but it was very pricey. My daughter had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a drink for $16!! Will not be my first choice next visit.

Very yummy American food. A couple vegetarian options, I got the zucchini ravioli, which was good but not super flavorful. The ribs were fall off the bone and very yummy! Staff was great! There is a 3% charge to your bill if you use a card.

Stopped by for a late lunch. Didn’t want too much so ordered a Summer Orchard Salad adding grilled chicken. Portion was perfect for one person. Greens were fresh, cherries and apples also. Overall, Salad was tasty but they missed adding the walnuts and pears. My companion ordered soup and Caesar salad. It was perfect.

Best food on Mackinac Island. The chef is superb! Everything is always creative, fresh and perfectly to order. Hot food is hot. Salads are fresh and cold. The specials are always special. Seafood and fish are cooked perfectly. Very friendly and efficient service. Staff is always pleasant and hardworking.

The service was horrible. We ordered good and didn’t get it. And the waiter said the best he could do was take it off the bill. Well we never got it, so I hope so. The burgers are over cooked and not that good. The salad wasn’t impressive and wasn’t bad right. With all the places here don’t waste your time.
