Had a great time all around! We reserved ahead & were seated early, which was a nice bonus. The staff was awesome, our server was a little slow (beer glass sat empty a bit too long), but the food more than made up for it. Those chili/brisket fries to start really set the tone for the whole meal.

Awesome spot for a cold beer & some seriously good food!

Three of us sat outside, a warm day with shade a moving target, but we managed under the umbrella. We were acknowledged right away, a good beginning, with drinks following shortly. We started by sharing an order of Classic Humus, which was very good. My wife ordered the Cajun Cod sandwich for lunch; my daughter the Half Rack of Ribs; and I ordered the Spinach salad and added salmon to the salad. The salad was crisp, and the salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Cajun Cod was reported as tasty, and the ribs disappeared, so I guess they were okay! Service continued to be timely throughout, we enjoyed lunch and the outdoors. This was not our first visit, and won’t be our last. Cheers!

A piece of history nestled in the heart of Princeton. This old bar restaurant (hotel above), has prime location in historic Palmer square. As soon as you walk in, this bar has charm, history and a place in your heart. The largest ever Norman Rockwell painting hangs behind the bar, depicting the very song the bar is named after. TVs a plenty covering sports and a shuffle board provide plenty of entertainment, as well as a good food and drinks menu.
Visited here several times and never been disappointed.
There is also outdoor seating available in the courtyard.

Unfortunately the food was not great. French onion soup was so salty. Side salad was drenched in the dressing. Chicken pot pie had barely any filling. We gave it a shot but won’t be back.

Wonderful. We made reservations, arrived 15 mins before our reservation to ensure the full party was there but they were already ready to seat us! Seating is comfortable and easy to access. Food selection was wide spread, they had fish, burgers, pork, salads, plenty of thoughtful choices. French fries were alright, they were plain (no salt no seasoning so I suppose I wish they had something on them). Our waiter was kind and friendly. Drink selection was great! Plenty of wines, liquors and beers.

First of all I love the historical feel of this place. Second the history behind is just spectacular I can see why this place is popular! If you cut through Princeton and want to grab a bite to eat I would highly recommend this tavern. It gets busy during the day so I don’t mind waiting for a bit. The food and drinks were delicious and the servers were friendly. 5/5

What a bummer. Went for lunch and it took 2 hours from start to finish. Super long wait for everything to come out (fish and chips, a wedge salad, fries, a falafel burger) in a restaurant that wasn’t crowded. Brisket nachos had no two shreds of what could have been brisket…for $20 you gotta put something on there besides weird bbq sauce. Drinks were pretty decent. My friends liked their food so the overall review is 3 stars.

Very nice location in Princeton, super nice and friendly staff.
We were seven girls, in a hurry for lunch and in less than half an hour they prepared and served delicious dishes for us.
We suggest you try their chicken wings, accompanied by excellent sauces.
Everything wasn’t expensive, the young guys were available to help us and serve us as best as possible.
They gave to us for free large glasses of water with ice and they have excellent wines, even by the glass, at fair prices.
Thanks a lot, you made us enjoy american food and the Princeton atmosphere.

We ate here for both dinner and breakfast as we were staying at the Inn. Dinner was fine, the service was ok and the food was good. Breakfast was another story. The restaurant was not busy yet the service was extremely slow and really rude. The waiter was not friendly, dropped off our food and was not seen again until the check. We were not offered a refill on coffee, or were acknowledged at all. It’s a shame because the tavern is cute and historical, but next time we will spend our money elsewhere.

Came here for drinks while staying at the Inn above.
A dozen beer taps made the selection easy
Pricing to be expected for the area
Nice chatter inside, with available wood seating that ebbs and flows with the crowd
Sports were playing on the televisions
Mixed crowd of old and young
