The service was top notch and the drinks were really good. Most of the food was great, but the main dishes were small. The chicken was dry and even eating it with the cocktail sauce didn’t help much. The steak on a stone was great and the apps were fantastic. Very cute place, but overpriced. Borscht was very good, but charging $15 for a bowl is nuts. Videos on TVs looked trippy AI generated and didn’t fit the place much. Very limited menu options. Definitely an experience, but not sure will return.

This speakeasy is an absolute gem. The vibe is incredible, intimate, cozy, and full of character. But what truly makes it special is the owner. Yana treats this place like her baby, and you can feel her presence in every detail. She’s so sweet, so involved, and genuinely cares about everyone who walks through the door.

What a great surprise. We stopped in for a quick cocktail and appetizers on a Saturday afternoon. The drinks were unique, beautiful and best of all delicious. The blinis and caviar were a perfect accompaniment. I look forward to going back soon!

I had wanted to check this place out for a year now, and finally stopped in with friends after seeing a concert at Ravinia. Right off the bat, super cool entrance, I won’t give away the secret though. The owner and the bartender were very friendly and took care of us well. The cocktails were fantastic, my favorite being the Tiki Old Fashioned. It was deliciously complex, with so many layers of flavor. The Hot Bartender, a hot, herbal (tea?) cocktail was also a favorite. Before we left, we also got shots of the house-made horseradish vodka. My friends and I definitely plan on going back, in part to try some of the food, as many of the menu items sounded delicious.

Yana’s is exactly what I hoped for in a small speakeasy tucked away in the Ravinia area of Highland Park. You enter by walking behind a piano that’s also a secret entrance. The cocktails are top notch, prepared by a first rate craft bartender. And Yana is an exceptional hostess who has curated every detail. As a local, I look forward to each visit.

Yana’s is a mega-trendy, super-cozy bar nestled on the quiet avenue of Roger Williams. I can’t comment on the food, but I have been here a number of times and it is an incredible place to hang out with friends or possibly on a date. The bartenders and owners are all very friendly and quite conversational. They put alot of thought into building out the location, and it all starts with the falsetto piano wall that secretly opens up as the entrance to the bar. There are TV monitors on the wall, but they play random pieces of trendy artwork, rather than the game. There’s not a ton of seating so you may have to wait for a spot at the bar, but I’ve found the drink selection is fairly thorough and unique to the suburbs. Highly recommend Yana’s!
