Awesome experience as always! Food was top notch, pleasant staff, and a nice comfortable ambiance. I will say though, I wish the snow Crab Shokupan bread special was explained a bit better on the menu or before I ordered it. It tasted amazing but it was not really an appetizer that even 2 people could share…it was more like a delicious architectural bite. That being said, it was very good and I would order it again… just in a greater quantity. I have been here dozens of times and each and every time is a great experience so I would highly suggest that if you have never been to Yanako to make sure to check them out. They are seriously the best sushi and more!

Very quiet and beautiful environment for a date night! Went on a Sunday at 6pm. The Spicy Tuna Rice Crisps is a must have app! Shared the Sushi and Sashimi for two and enjoyed every bite. Everything tasted fresh.

We ordered four dishes today—two were excellent (negimayaki and salmon teriyaki), while the calamari and one of the special rolls were just okay. Still, we love Yanako for its high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented dishes.

Great selection of well-prepared appetizers, but the sushi was the star of the show. This was the freshest sushi I’ve found in the Northwest part of Philadelphia. Will definitely be back here. Service was very warm and friendly as well.

The food was wonderful! I have been here many times, and the service is quick, and the food never disappoints. I got the kimono sushi, which was very good. It was sweet and had a tangy eel sauce. If you like udon, I definitely recommend nabeyaka, which has a delicious broth.

Had a great time here! Byob so make sure to bring your own special wine. Sushi was outstanding. They had a great tuna special for the night we really enjoyed. It was super quiet here for a Sunday night. There was only one other couple the entire time we were there. The edamame was tasty but I wish I had gotten dessert!

Everything was excellent and our server… Matthew?…was very helpful in describing dishes and rolls to us. He was very knowledgeable. The signature suhsi rolls were fresh and well-made. Place is BYOB which we didn’t realize til after we arrived, so don’t forget to pick up a bottle or sixer. The pork belly steamed buns were to die for.

Quite disappointed by the food. The sushis we got were fine in terms of taste, but given the portion (smaller size than usual) and ingredients (fewer than usual for non-basic rolls/sushis), they were overpriced. The pork buns were not very warm — the buns were a tad hard to chew. Only the chicken yakitori was yummy.
Otherwise, great service and good ambiance (it was quite loud but it was a Friday evening, so perhaps hard to find a calm place at that time!).

Very nice lunch date for hubby and I. Will definitely go back. We are foodies and love trying out fresh new places to eat! Everything was fresh and the server was very knowledgeable. Check them out, if you love sushi you won’t be disappointed.
