This is a perfect little sushi spot. The last time I was in El cerrito I went to a very expensive place and couldn’t believe it. The quality of sushi was just basic. It was so expensive too.
With Yammy Sushi you get exactly what you expect. Good service, good food. Clean environment. Mostly fair prices. But unlike that expensive place I went to before all of these roles were good. Every single one. And that super duper crunchy roll is pretty insane!! Definitely worth the cost!

This sushi spot is pretty great! I’m a big sushi lover and had never been here before. The restaurant itself is small inside but the sushi is well made and you can tell they put effort into it. All the sushi and sashimi was fresh and tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back. Thank you!

I ordered the miso ramen and it was absolutely tasteless. I even tried adding soy sauce to it, but it didn’t help much and instead of refunding me, I was able to choose a menu item of the same value which was $16. I chose one of the rolls and this is what I got, and I highly doubt that this tiny portion costs $16. Never again

I’ve been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. They have a pretty good size menu with not only rolls but also other options such as bowls and salads. We ordered the Bay Area roll and double spicy ca this time around along with gyoza and tuna nachos all super delicious!

DISHONEST ESTABLISHMENT!!
Bought a 49er roll TO GO and paid for the $ 17.64 with my CC. I did not give a tip since it was a take out order. Now I get a notification by my CC company that I was defrauded for a 55% tip over $9.68!!
Been here a few times although it is pretty pricey for average type food.

Still one of the best value sushi spots in the Bay Area, serving Super fresh local Sushi and Sashimi with a wide selection of rolls, and main courses. Economic, and delicious “Yammy” should be renamed “Yummy” (Probably what they were aiming for to begin with)
I ordered the Sushi dinner, and a roll, with came with Miso soup and a crisp and fresh salad.

The food was honestly good, but the service was incredibly disappointing. We were the only customers at the time, yet it took 20 minutes for our first dish to arrive, and another 20 minutes for the rest—which we had to take to go because of the long wait. There were four staff members, including the owner, and still the service lagged. We still left a tip, but please don’t let this happen to your next customers. Chances are, like my wife and me, they won’t be coming back.
