Visiting Victoria and decided to try out this sushi restaurant while exploring around Brentwood Bay area. Restaurant is cozy. Food service was fast and the staff (most likely the owner) was very friendly.
Tried the sushi combo and the Bento lunch box. Everything tasted good and the seafood was fresh. The portion of the Bento box was slightly small but probably I am used to seeing sushi restaurants in Vancouver overloading on the rice for their lunch box. Won’t mind trying out their other menu items next time visiting.

I haven’t given it a chance until today. I was craving sushi, and it’s a big task to drive all the way to town just to get good sushi. But today was different. I haven’t tried a lot in their menu, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m happy I can just get my sushi in Brentwood whenever I have a craving. I hope this restaurant keeps the quality and care customers from Brentwood deserve. The restaurant was clean and the lady at the front was very nice and kind. You’ve gained a new customer.

Just discovered this little Sushi place today, and really loved it! Got dynamite roll, California roll, and prawn tempura. I loved the prawn tempura, and the sushi was nice and light. I will be going back!
My only compliant is if you see someone struggling to open the door, please help them! Especially when they are using a walker, and their hands aren’t free.

Easily some of the best sushi on the lower half of the island. Extremely fresh, good portions, and wonderful service. Such a cute restaurant, I highly recommend eating here.

This family owned sushi restaurant is wonderfully run, the food is amazing and the service phenomenal.
We tried Yumi for the first time on Friday for my folks anniversary and we were not disappointed.
We ordered 5 different Maki Rolls, tempura prawns, seaweed salad, gyozas (which were out of this world incredible) and spring rolls.
It was a feast of divine food.
And the owners kept their cool on a ridiculously busy Friday night with orders and non-stop phone calls.
A HUGE THANK YOU YAMI!
We are already planning our next visit!!!

What can I say about Yami Sushi?… Nothing but great things.
This is a go to sushi spot in Brentwood Bay.
The food is amazing. We have tried so many of their options, and each one was a hit. They cater to the tame and the adventurous without discretion.
The prices are fantastic, especially for what you get. The quality of the product is excellent. The rice has never been dry or improperly cooked, solidly consistent.
The greeting is always pleasant and the food is always ready when they say it will be.
So far, we have been there several times over the last few years and not a miss yet.

Just picked up some takeout from this gem, and I have to say, the sushi was absolutely delicious! So fresh and tasty. Not only that, but the service was incredibly fast – we barely had to wait! The owner is such a kind person, and restaurants like this are what make our community feel special. If you’re in the area, you have to try it! We’ll definitely be coming back often.

A great, charming little sushi place. They do not have a wide variety of hot foods but the sushi is delicious. Try the mango roll for something different! It’s my fave. They always have friendly service, peaceful piano music and a self-serve urn of complimentary hot tea in the corner.
