This is a FANTASTIC spot for Pad Thai. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the woman working the counter. She was incredibly friendly, was smiling, and took my order herself instead of making me use the iPad to order.
Throughout my meal she kept checking on me to see if I liked the food. She was very attentive, and I could tell she really cared about the customer experience here.
The food was fantastic! Absolutely delicious. And it came out very quickly. I had to ask for chopsticks (though they did bring a fork; I just wanted the chopsticks because I’m just that talented for a white guy ).
Pricing was a little cheaper than I would have expected, which was a nice surprise. There is no drink fountain, and drinks are sold individually by the can, so be prepared for that. All in all, this was a fantastic place to eat. I arrived at 1130, and there was absolutely no line despite it being lunchtime.
The restaurant was very clean, tidy, and well presented.

We found them on yelp and thought we would give them a try. We were treated with such kindness! The lady was super friendly and sweet, we were the only ones and made us nervous that maybe it wasn’t the 4.9 we saw online but, as time went on the place got busy. Food was great and even took half my plate home for a second meal. Food was so fresh! We will be coming back !!

Absolutely lovely woman owns the place and not only did she give us an amazing meal she was positively delightful when helping us out. She opened everything up before packing up our meal to make sure our order was right without prompting! As a family with a variety of food allergies it was a deeply appreciated gesture. Surprisingly not many bowls but its more of a teriyaki place with various asian dishes which is fine.
Had the chicken and beef which was alright, a bit underseasoned for my liking. Portions for price was good however.
The parking is bleak but manageable as well.

Food was delicious, we got the orange chicken, chicken chow mien and the red curry. Everything was a hit! Especially the orange chicken, made fresh to order the crust was super crispy crunchy and the sauce was perfect.

Yami Bowl is one of my new favorite spots in San Jose! I’m a huge fan of Thai Asian fusion food and have been here a few times since first discovering this spot because the food is SO good. The popcorn chicken here is probably the best popcorn chicken I’ve ever had, and I especially loved how fresh their basil is. My other favorite dishes here are the mapo tofu and the pad kee mow. The flavors and portion sizes here both are unbeatable, plus they let you pick your spice level. For my drink, I always order their Thai tea!
In addition, the service here is truly exceptional. Each time, the staff has been very kind and friendly. Such a positive vibe which makes the experience even better. Grateful to have discovered this spot, and I look forward to continuing to visit and enjoy their delicious Asian food!
