Ordered roughly $80+ worth of sushi. It’s now “ground” paste. These I’ve gotten in the past. They both are supposed to be “spicy salmon”. The texture is way different. Has something changed? They were kind picking it up. But I had to wait ten minutes longer than the time I requested in the online pickup.

– Restaurant was cute and clean inside. Very friendly staff.
– I ordered the lunch special (2 rolls: crunch & eel and avocado roll), 2 orders of salmon nigiri, and 1 order of tobiko.

I would never go here if it’s the last place on earth. The staff was so rude. They sat and ordered food for people that were obvious regulars before they even asked for our order. Every exchange was rude. I gave a 20 % tip because I’m a kind person but honestly, they deserved zero. I will never be back and they wouldn’t let us pay separate cards if it was under $12. Like what??? I’ve also never heard of that, nor did they post it. Bad experience and don’t recommend

Cool little place. Seated right away at 7 on a Thursday night. Place was busy, I got one of the last tables. Seating for 30-40?

I ordered a scallop bento box. Loved it and everything that came with it. Salad, Spring roll, soup,California roll, fried rice, scallops in a dreamy sauce.
Total was $20 some dollars. It was so nice to have both a fork and chopsticks available to choose from without having to ask.

The food has been very good every time we have eaten here & tonight was too. We went for my birthday dinner & I was given a little Crystal Keychain as a gift. Very surprising & thoughtful! After eating a great meal I was too full for dessert anyways.

This is my favorite restaurant is Pella. My friend and I are on our annual trip for Tulip Fest when we discovered it last year ! The food is so fresh and flavorful ! Service is good too ! Visiting this restaurant has become part of our annual trip. See you next year !!

Cute restaurant with a very friendly staff. I usually judge my sushi restaurants by how well they make their tuna rolls. Their tuna roll wasn’t great. It wasn’t bad…it just wasn’t great. My other roll was also a tuna based roll and it lacked flavor. The highlight of the meal was the soup. It was delicious. Maybe the next time I go I will get the hibachi.

I think Yamato is a great Japanese restaurant for the community.
I had the Dinosaur Roll and a side of Miso soup. This roll had Soft shell crab, tempura, topped with eel, avocado & eel sauce. Came out delicious, crunchy, hot & fresh.
The miso soup was awesome. It had a really great flavor! Not like other restaurants where they make theirs bland.
My friend had a couple California rolls and soup as well.
Both came to $34.xx after gratuity.
Service was efficient and nice. Nothing spectacular but they served well and without interruption.
Visited during Thursday night dinner hour. Environment was packed and busy. There were a couple families waiting for tables while we visited. It shows that the locals definitely love this restaurant. Also noticed many to go orders being picked up.
The restaurant was minimal in decor and had maybe 10 tables that seat 4 people each. The restaurant was packed quickly!
Overall all I recommend Yamato.
My friend, who lives locally, loves this restaurant and visits often.
I look forward to returning and trying a hibachi dish!
