Loved everything about this place, and I am hard to please. My first visit was fantastic! Great food, reasonable prices. (HUGE portions.) I ate on left overs 3 other times at home and shared w/my pup..lol We love this place.

I didn’t even get my food.

I placed an online order, received a confirmation saying it would be done in 25 minutes. I arrive there at pick up time and had to wait about 10 minutes because the cashier was having trouble communicating a bill split issue with the customers ahead of me who placed a large order (Language barrier.)

Finally I get up to the cashier expecting my food and it turns out she hadn’t even seen the notification for the order on her phone so they hadn’t even started preparing my food.

Basically my lunch break was ruined.
Thanks a lot guys.

Please in the future pay more attention to your online orders. The reason you all have such an in depth online ordering site is due to the language barriers in communicating an order over the phone. The site is useless if you all don’t pay attention to it.

I’ve eaten here 3 times. The first time was amazing!!! But the last 2 times i ordered chicken, i had pieces that tasted like they were rotten. Once as a to-go order and once eating in. I do not reccommend this restaurant…go to mt. fugi up by kroger!

There were only 3 occupied tables in the whole place. We waited 30 minutes without our order being taken. I waited another 10 to pay for the 1 beer and hot tea before leaving. Can’t comment on the food but service was the worse I have experienced in awhile.

Got there past the normal dinner hour, and the staff was as efficient as if they were just starting their shift. The food was wonderful, my mother ordered a seafood dinner and I order a Benito box of chicken, was surprised to get shrimp, but that was still as good.

Food is very good, both sushi and hibachi/ teriyaki options. The miso soup is great! Service is not always the best but, relatve to other Madisonville restaurants it’s about average.

1 – The place was a little dirty, their little kid was playing around the floor.
2 – After we got our orders we started to eat, the salad was ok, their miso soup and the seafood soup was the worst soup, the soup tasted like dirty water with vegetables, when my wife and tried the seafood soup, again dirty water with vegetables, scallops, and imitation crab. Tried to tell the waitress that the soup tasted like dirty water and all she did was laugh at me and then just gave me the check, even when I complained about the soup still all she did was laugh and the food not that great either. A!Both of our grandsons ‘s had the teriyaki chicken which normally they like a lot, but they struggled and only ate what looked like fried rice. As for my wife and I we ordered the steak and lobster, whatever the cook used to cook, made the lobster taste like saw dust, again the fried rice was the only thing I was able to keep down. Compare Yamato -vs- Mt.Fugi, Mt. Fugit wins hands down by far. I would rather eat at Mt Fugi and pay over $100.00 than eat and pay at Tamato

This is a hidden gem. Every time we go here there is hardly anyone there, but their food and service are really good. I love their sushi.
