We kicked off our holiday season tonight at Yamato Japanese Steakhouse of Madison IN. Let me say we were so pleased, greeted with smiles, joy and felt welcomed by everyone. We started with sushi rolls, all very tasty. Salads, soups then entrees, ALL presented perfectly timed. We will return next time when we visit Madison Indiana.

Food here was good. Salads and soup was fresh. Really good miso. The steak and shrimp well cooked and the yumyum sause is delicious.
Service was great. Our server was so kind and friendly we even tried to offer her new employment.

This little out of the way restaurant is amazing. Its tucked over in the corner and the sign is a little faded but the food is great and the prices were very reasonable. Realistically this place should have a crowd all the time. My wifes sushi rolls were gone before i could get a picture. Fried dumpling are amazing. Even my side of noodles was very tasty. Definitely addinf this place to my go to spots for excellent food. Two full meals with appetizers and extra sides and drinks was $45 total.

We ordered (To Go) very late, around 10pm, but we were still accomodated. Food quality is still very good and delicious, well packed and customer service is fast. Bill is around $40 plus tip. The restaurant is clean and tables are well spaced, ambiance is really themed nicely. Well recommended and would visit again if visiting Madison.

Ordered the Bento Box through DoorDash. I didn’t think such an expensive meal would make me feel so ill. The food is no bueno. Got shrimp teriyaki (shrimp should be grilled) and it wasn’t fully cooked. I haven’t been this disappointed in any food.

We were glad we went in! Staff was fast and friendly! I had filet mignon and scallops. We also had crispy calamari. Both were very good. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered.

The menu doesn’t properly provide conformation for what is on each item. I myself am allergic to multiple thing including “milk, egg, and peanut” and the item i ordered has no sort of allergy list or alerts. Also there was a large piece of metal wire in our food. i do not recommend to come here if you have any sort of allergies or looking for a clean environment. The service is poor as well.
