I have eaten here so many times in the past and never had an issue! Wonderful service and great food! However, this will be the last time I order food from here again – This is horrendous. They are serving bad meat. This just makes my stomach turn every time I look at it. Do better, please.

Good food, great service, and greet atmosphere. Pricing was good for the specials with soup or salad included. There are not many options for sushi in Garrett County, Western Maryland. My children and rates the food at an 8/10 and the service and atmosphere at a 10/10. Photo are attached.

My wife chose the Hibachi beef with vegetables and fried rice, I opted for Teriyaki Chicken Bento with fried rice, a spring roll and a California roll and Wasabi sauce. Both had a nice garden salad. Both our meals were very delicious.
I had never eaten sushi before and I liked it, a little Wasabi really brings the HEAT! Loved it!

Even having pulled in with a mere half-hour until close, we weren’t rushed by our server. The kids were indecisive but patience and kindness was extended towards them. When our order was placed, our food came out quickly from the kitchen. A lack of table-side prep was perfect considering our roadtripping tummies needed something healthy in time for everyone else to get home and for us to get back on the road. Honestly, based on our single experience with impeccable service and delicious dishes, if this establishment was located near our home, we would likely be regulars.

My main meal and soup was sub okay, beef tip was too chewy i felt like- perhaps it was the type of cut. Sushi was good though. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Best Japanese steakhouse we can find. We drove out to Hagerstown, Morgantown, Fredrick to try multiple Japanese steakhouses and none of them are as good as Yamato. Great food at a really good price for what you get. Yamato is one of our favorite places to eat out.
