I was going to call this place aggressively mediocre but it’s really not even that. I wouldn’t come back here for a meal. The fried appetizers are fine but all the entrees (hibachi, teriyaki) are not very good. Very friendly staff and decent bar.

We are never let down when we come. We were lucky enough to come around 12:30, right before the rush. Once again, our sushi was so good and super filling. I swear they’re making the portions larger each time we come.

Food was great just portions were small for the price but it was very yummy. Love the fact that there was no additional charge for the yum-yum sauce I buried my food in. Waitress was friendly ,very helpful, and didn’t mind asking if there was something she didn’t know instead of dismissing what I was asking about

We went for dinner and I ended up having to leave hungry. They served me rotten meat that I couldn’t even swallow it was so foul. My husband tried it to make sure I wasn’t being dramatic and he even said the same thing. Tried to talk to the manager to make it right and she refused even though my plate was untouched. The food was also cold. Her response was “all sales final.” I will never be back here again. The portions are also incredibly small. My kids were begging for more meat after they ate their little 5 pieces of chopped chicken. I’m normally not one to make reviews like this and never like to cause a scene but the manager of this establishment didn’t seem to care that they serve rotten meat and cold food. Our waiter was precious though! I give him 5 stars.

Filet hibachi was tender and flavored good. Rice was saturated with black pepper. Its the only flavor that exists in it. Combo rice was covered in black pepper too. My wife couldn’t eat. Spoke to the manager who refused to remove the plate from my bill because she “sent some out on door dash and they didn’t complain, so that meant there was nothing wrong with her food.” After looking here, many complaints about the rice.
Rachel was polite and apologetic for the issues.
Our food came out in various stages as well. I was almost done with the plate when her sushi arrived. After eating 3 pieces, her combo rice plate arrived. Not sure how this happened either. Only 1 other table at the time.

I asked the waitress questions about the food before I ordered. I specifically asked about the yellow fin neck. I asked how it was prepared. She stated “raw over lettuce.” What came out was fried, stunk to high heavens, but it was at least on a bed of lettuce. When I said this isn’t what I was expecting, since she said it was raw, the waitress wanted to loudly try to gaslight me into believing she hadn’t said it was raw. The customers in the booth behind mine said they heard hwe say it was raw as well. I had to wait 20 minutes just to speak with someone about ordering something else. When the manager finally arrived she said it didn’t matter what the waitress said, “everyone knows you can’t eat this raw!” Sorry, but clearly everyone doesn’t, as I clearly didn’t get the memo, which is why I asked the waitress. In the end it was a terrible experience.

After the new owners took over this place has turned to pretty much dog food. I ordered shrimp and steak fried rice. It came with 3 pieces of shrimp and 5-6 small pieces of steak. I ordered a SIDE of shrimp and steak to counter act the lack luster of meat on the dish. They gave me double in a SIDE. This place is on the downhill big time.

We were referred here. It’s only reason we tried it. We ordered steak hibachi and shrimp hibachi. The portions were tiny. Especially compared to other places. The rice was fried and hardly any eggs in the rice. Steak was tiny bits and tasted like tenderized steaks. I literally had to season my food and add an egg to it when I made it home. The yum yum sauce tasted like salad dressing so I’m assuming they gave us extra salad dressing instead of yum yum sauce. The Miso soup came in a tiny styrofoam container and was cloudy. I didn’t eat. The shrimp had the same portion size and blandness. I honestly see why it’s cheaper than other hibachi places. There’s no quality to the food and the food portions are tiny. Staff/Hostess were welcoming and our food was prepared on time. I will never return or recommend this place.

This place blew me away. I must say that my expectations for the sushi were mediocre, given the location of the restaurant relative to the ocean. However, the restaurant sure proved me wrong. The sushi I was served is among the best I have ever experienced. I was there during a relatively slow time, so I had multiple staff helping me with whatever I needed. They were all extremely attentive, and courteous beyond belief. I will most definitely be returning next time I pass through Meridian
