The Gyoza was perfect- extra crispy and juicy with tender filling and a delicious ponzu sauce. The Dragon Roll was my favorite- cucumber, avocado and cucumber on the inside and topped with eel, caviare, and eel sauce. Amazing!
Also, the green tea was freshly steeped through the pot and the atmosphere was very relaxing with beautiful Oriental music playing. Best in Butler by far!

Stopped by for lunch and greeted right away. The nice person who welcomed us and took us straight to the table and pulled out my chair. It’s very rare these days.

Order steak hibachi with fried rice. The sushi was fresh and delicious.

The Yamato roll is salmon with avacodo and cream cheese, and it was crispy and delicious.

The spicy girl roll was spicy tuna, topped with spicy salmon. Very fresh.

The asparagus roll was a nice refresher between the two spicy rolls.

Our server was polite and wished I would have caught her name. Ensured we never had an empty cup and checked on us frequently. The restaurant was busy when we were there. Great service.

I recently dined at Yamato and had an excellent experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each piece prepared with great attention to detail. The flavors were well-balanced.
The service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

Prices were reasonable for the quality, and portions were generous. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a high-quality sushi experience.

We eat at this restaurant once a year when we visit Pennsylvania. It is really good and a good bargain prize for what you get.

Really good food, always fast, hot and delicious. They do not cook in front of you, but still a good meal for the price.

Finally, good Japanese food that we don’t have to drive 40 minutes, one way, to get to. Yamato is a welcome change from the last restaurant that occupied this space in Moraine Pointe Plaza. The place has been nicely renovated and is very clean. We ordered Pan Fried Gyoza for an appetizer and Teriyaki Salmon Bento boxes for lunch, one with fried rice, one with steamed rice. We were first pleasantly surprised by the crispy, tasty Gyoza (dumplings). Then came the flavorful grilled vegetables and salmon. Every item was fresh, hot as expected, and, likewise, cold as expected (California Rolls). I, personally, have to note that their water is good. I have to ask for lemon in my water at many restaurants to disguise the funny taste. But, Yamato’s water needs no modifications . We are excited to have Yamato in the neighborhood and hope the other locals will enjoy and support them, too .
