i hate leaving negative or bad reviews at restaurants but i’ve also never been driven to leave a restaurant because it smells like sewage the dining room wasn’t awful besides being very dated and a little dirty(the floors were very clean though) but the smell even in the dining room was already pungent when i first walked in & i gagged going to the bathroom. from literal feces smeared on the wall to just the stench permeating i knew i had to leave immediately. i’m not a picky eater though so i got my food to go and it’s pretty good so i would order again but definitely order takeout. pleaseeeee hire a company to deep clean your dining room/bathrooms though because wow. pictured is the new york strip steak with extra meat (6$)

One star is honestly a stretch. This place was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. The inside was dingy and run down, there were boxes and trash all over the place. Our food was god awful, out of appetizers and entree I only had 2 edible bites. Yamato in petal is always my favorite place to eat, but Waynesboro has honestly ruined Yamatos for me.

This is some of the best to go hibachi that you can find within a 50 mile radius. They always present fast and friendly service. The food is always fresh and nicely prepared. Shown in the photo is the jumbo shrimp hibachi with EXTRA shrimp. When you try it, do not forget the yummy sauce because it is most definitely yummy with the hibachi!

The food was delicious… I love their hibachi grill. Today I ate off the lunch menu. I had the chicken hibachi with the rice and extra chicken vegetables and rice. It was so good and it filled me up…. I loved it. Plus it only cost me $12…. A real bargain!

I placed an online order for soup and sushi. When I arrived at the restaurant, I realized that i’d made a mistake. The restaurant is filthy with stacks of clutter everywhere. I stood at the host stand until someone told me to come to the kitchen. A waitress was openly vaping in the kitchen. I got my food and decided not to eat it upon inspection. The fish just didn’t look or smell fresh.

Pleasantly surprised. I was a little nervous when we pulled up and the place looked kind of run down from the outside. But we have it a chance and honestly, had a great experience. The sweet tea was sweet. The sushi was delicious. And the waitress was very kind and attentive.
We were serenaded by Brittany Spears, Beyoncé, and whoever wrote that classic hit “Who let the dog’s out”. No offensive music was played but I liked that the staff got to play their own music. They didn’t seem like they were having a bad time. That always makes for a good experience.

The food was nasty. Miso soup tasted like it was from an expired can and cold. Appetizers came AFTER the meal when we asked again. The lobster hibachi came out like a patty I had to gnaw on because it wasn’t cut and had no knife. The lobster Rangoon had no taste what-so- ever. There was a child playing kick ball in the eating/ kitchen area and the dirty ball landed in the kitchen and on cook surface a number of times as did the dirty wad of paper he was throwing around. The cook sneezed onto the food he was cooking and then wiped his nose with his bare hand and continued handling the food.There were dirty boxes, ladders, fans, and bicycles stored throughout the restaurant.The pictures on line are NOTHING like the true dirty restaurant. The atmosphere was more like an old dirty 70s garage sale than a restaurant and food all over under our table.. maybe from a previous diner trying not to eat it. Who knows. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

This place is great! My husband and I go at least 4 times a month and our food is always good. The last time we went the main lady was a bit rude. But other than that its a great place. The yum yum sauce is the best part to me. I have to have it all over my food. The steak and chicken combo with Spring rolls! (I get it every time) I can’t get enough of it. I hope this place is around for a long time.
