I’m usually not a big fan of “cook-it-yourself” style restaurants, but this place really impressed me. The tonkatsu ramen was excellent—honestly on par with some of my favorite dedicated ramen spots. They also offer buffet-style options that the kids absolutely loved, and the all-you-can-eat setup is very reasonably priced.
The service made the experience even better. Anna-Marie was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and never rushed us at all. She even offered to send the robot over to say “Hi,” which the kids thought was amazing. It made the whole visit feel fun and memorable for the family.
If you’re thinking about trying this place, I highly recommend it—you won’t regret it.
P.S. If it’s your child’s birthday, Pikachu comes out to celebrate, which was a huge hit!

Took my woman out for dinner and it was worth every penny.
K pot had nothing on this place!
The owner Eric was very nice and even brought us some complimentary wine for the table!
Aliyah was really nice and knowledgeable about everything.
They even have little robot waiters too as well as the staff!

I wanted to share our great experience tonight! Me and my husband came to eat something good before the freeze. We were greeted with happy faces, seated quickly and got our drinks fast including our first round of food. Our waiter was Elijah. He was amazingly fantastic! He was in such a great mood, he was promptly always checking on us even though he had a bit of big tables. He was so thoughtful and made sure I had an amazing belated birthday He sang to me privately and he just made my night! Thank you Elijah, I will never forget your thoughtfulness! I truly hope to see you soon! You definitely deserve a raise or a promotion because by the looks of the reviews, it seems I’m not the only one to see your great work! You deserve more stars ⭐️

This is the second time I came here with my family. I always have to write a review on my second visit because the first time was a tryout.
We got seated right away by the host when we arrived. The server came straight to our table. Ask for Eli/Elijah; he’s great and very fast too.
Food came out within minutes. They kept coming back to our table as soon as we finished our plates so we could order more. Bang for your buck experience.
Their hot bar buffet is clean, not a typical messy one you see at regular buffet places.
Overall experience was great. I would add this to my list to recommend to my friends.

Fantastic experience. Elijah made my day. 10/10 service and made my experience wonderful. Absolutely could not believe the amount of all-you-can-eat high quality food for < $40. I will be back!

We were excited to try Yama Kitchen which was considerably closer to us than our normal spot. However, Pasadena sure knows how to ruin things.
Service – nothing short of Terrible. Her manners, wait times, lack of help, etc.
To start, this was our first visit to Yama. We were seated promptly and once the server came we asked for recommendations. From the rolling of the eyes, to not even looking at us while speaking, it was as if we did something before we even began.
We order our items to BBQ, and we learn we don’t have anything to cook with. We wait again to be acknowledged and piss her off some more asking for the tools to grill. It gets better, she handed us a pair of Tongs. Nothing more, we learn later we needed a pair of scissors. Can you guess how well that went over? She walked past ignoring our next order, sliding it across the table.
Besides all this, the food over all was bland. Only a few items worth mentioning that had a great marinade and flavor.
The garlic shrimp & coconut shrimp was delicious!
The rolls and sushi were ok at best.
That was about it.
Don’t think there was a cut of meat that we enjoyed.
If you think this is what it should taste like, you might want to try other spots further away. Because you’re missing out.
This was a big miss across the board. It’s a shame for such a nice spot.

This place is a absolute must-try! The food was incredibly good—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and offered a fantastic variety selection of meats and sides. What truly elevates this restaurant is the service, which was simply amazing. Our server, Kim, was particularly attentive, friendly, and funny. Plus, the entire place was spotlessly clean. High-quality food, superb service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant is absolutely the best!!! We went with family and we had sooo much fun!! The food was absolutely delicious, the meat was well seasoned, and we even saw Pikachu! He came out and made us all laugh. My kids loved it, and they can’t wait to go again. Place was clean, servers were great and the manager was so sweet and kind, he came a couple times to make sure we were satisfied. We all agree that we will come back again!

Ask for Elijah! He made our first and entire experience delightful. Sushi was my favorite, it tasted fresh and was very well prepared. The pricing is a steal, you can order from most of the menu, child pricing is more than 1/2 off.

This business separates itself from the rest. We got exceptional service from actual new hires. Omar did great with his communication and diligence.
Wonderfuly cleanly men’s restroom.
We also got to witness a yama kitchen’s birthday celebration and it was delightful!
Would gladly recommend to others that want to try a different brand of restaurants.
