The food was and has been terrible for a while. I ordered General Tsaos Shrimp Spicy. The container it was in was dripping liquid, the white rice in its container was overcooked, sticky and obviously microwaved to heat it up. The batter on the shrimp was soggy so it turned gummy and was covered in a sticky gel like sweetener while it lay in a swampy dark concoction that was overly watery sweet with a vinegar smell and taste. For $21 I was given microwaved garbage can water with terribly battered shrimp and petrified broccoli. The white rice could’ve hung wallpaper. I am warning anyone hungry for Chinese food to bypass this place, because it has gone from a 1 star to a – Hell No in a few months. I wouldn’t trust the Sushi based on what I was given today. The place has a Bar, maybe that’s their focus. Lastly, the woman that brought me the food was really nice.

They have the best beef sticks in the state. The sushi was fresh and the maki rolls came in hefty cuts. Egg rolls were also jumbo-sized, and the ginger chicken was fresh and delicious. We stopped by on a whim but this is easily one of our favorite chinese/japanese fusion restaurants in RI

Made a lunch reservation with my family at Yama Fuji for the grand opening of their hibachi room. I have eaten here for sushi before and know their quality of food and service is excellent. Their hibachi did not disappoint! The hibachi room is spacious, luxurious and a great location to host large and small events. The hibachi chefs are all New York City trained and it showed. Our chef was entertaining, had excellent technique and was playful with us adults as well as our 1 year old nephew, whom he gave a spiderman balloon that he loved. We ordered a variety of foods and had a great time. We will 100% come back and recommend you go try them out as well.

The Naruto was made with rotten cucumbers, the container was full of liquid from the rotten cucumbers and every piece of salmon had skin on it. The Mongolian beef was beyond bland and made with the worst cut of meat I have ever had. The Lo mein was mediocre at best. DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Food was terrible.

Years ago when I first moved to Rhode island i remember Yama Fuji being delicious but these past couple times (once dining in and the rest taking out) have been all around disappointing. I walked in about 30 minutes after I placed my order and to my surprise my sushi want done yet so I sat down and waited. While waiting an older man came in and it seemed like the cashier was being extremely rude towards him which really turned me off, when I did get my food after 5 minutes, the lady handed me my order and sent me on my way nicely but she just doesn’t seem like she wants to be there. I come here for sushi because it is so close but after this last time I don’t think I can come back. I ordered the Maki combo, which came with Miso soup and salad, and the Red Sox roll. Everything tasted off, the Miso was bland and just tasted like dirty water, the dressing for the salad kinda tasted sour and the sushi just tasted like it went bad, I didn’t even finish the Maki roll because I was afraid I would get sick. The red Sox roll, while not being really good had to be the think I enjoyed the most from my meal last night. Everything else was practically impossible to eat…

I went here for the first time with friends. They had two full separate menus, one Chinese and one Japanese, with several on the table. It was a bit confusing at first glance. We didn’t wait to long after ordering before being served. My garlic broccoli was tasty, but the broccoli was very firm and difficult to enjoy. Otherwise, the food was flavorful, and everyone seemed to enjoy their dish. I would be willing to give them another try.

Went here last night. I ordered 2 Shirley temples, a sushi roll, crab leg, shrimp roll, pork fried rice and lo mein. My daughter took a couple bites of her crab leg and shrimp roll and didn’t eat the rest. Said it was not good or flavorful. My cucumber/cream cheese roll was good. I had a little of the rice and lo mein which didn’t really have much flavor and was mushy. I drank almost all of my Shirley temple when I noticed a huge spider on the inside of my cup. I then noticed how sticky the cup was on the rim inside/outside as well as a hair (not mine) also stuck to the inside. I told the waiter and he just kind of shrugged and said “you’re ok though.” He then brought the check I asked him to take the Shirley temples off. He said ok, he took 1 off but not the other because only one had a spider. The other was barely drank and wasn’t going to be after what we saw in mine. He got the manager who said “oh wow” she was surprised when seeing the spider and she took the other Shirley temple off of the check. There was no apology or concern although she was very nice when seating us and checking on us prior. I couldn’t even take the extra food home (there was a lot) because I was too grossed out. I felt even more like money was wasted. I also woke up at 6am with stomach pains and sick. I’ve never left a review for a restaurant before and I do not like to be negative but I also don’t want customers spending money to have similar experiences like I did.

There was a type-o on the menu, so I ordered the flower roll because it said mango. I would not have ordered it if it said mayo instead of mango but it was delicious & had a beautiful presentation so I can’t complain.
