Ive been buying a spud from this location for 6 years. A friend of mine took me here when my family and I first moved to tyler tx. Once I ate the spud I knew I didn’t have to find another spot until these last two times ive purchased them. Idk whats going on but bring back the old cooks. My spud had more fat than meat and was mushy. After reading the comments seems like things been going south for a while. For a fact I will not be spending $30 ever here again I’ll drive a few more miles and goto hickory smoke house

I’ve been eating BBQ all my life……have food served to me that I feel is days old is unacceptable. If the food isn’t old then they must have cut the meat early that has lead into it drying out.The brisket was dry, with a texture suggesting it had either been sliced far in advance or held for too long. The ribs had an overly harsh smoke flavor, not the pleasant deep smoke you get from clean, slow-burning wood. The taste was bitter, like when a fire flares up and coats the meat in soot. There was no BBQ sauce included in the order, which only made the dryness and harsh smoke more noticeable. Also I didn’t receive my side orders. On a side note Uber was very helpful! As they refund my money and went as far to send an email to apologize for the food. Which wasn’t their fault or had anything to do with them.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a great menu at reasonable prices. The man and woman behind the counter are the sweetest couple, and their food matched the amazing smell from outside.
Husband had brisket sandwich, collard greens, potato salad while I opted for the half baked potato. Portions are HUGE and flavor is 100% AUTHENTIC BBQ!!! THANK YOU!! We will be back. 🙂

I am really disappointed with the brisket. Dry and hard, almost no fat. I purchased 1 LB beef brisket takeout with potato salad on the side. The brisket was not what I was expecting. It’s either overcooked or older than one or few days. No-melt-in-the-mouth brisket. You should step your game up. Services and other things are okay but your main item was not.

If you were looking for a barbecue baked potato you have found it at y’all’s BBQ. The meat is flavorful and tender and the sauce is sweet with a little heat. The potato was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy. The people working there were also so nice, and even gave my friend a free water bottle since it was her first time. There is a place where you can enjoy your food outside, and it’s right by the barbecue pit, which makes for a really cool experience. It’s definitely off the beaten path but worth a visit. #GoogleGal

Great authentic Texas BBQ!!! The brisket and loaded spud( loaded potatoes) were delicious and large portions. A special spot that we highly recommend! I wish I took a picture of all the food.
