Service was non existent. It took 45 minutes for someone to bring water to the table after asking a server not assigned to outer section. The server in our section finally came and never brought out menus we checked for what we wanted online.
We order 2 parrilladas and a jalea. The parrilladas came out cold, one of them was missing the wood heat protector that is how cold it was.
Drinks were comped but that is the minimum that should have been done in my opinion. Ultimately once the bill came and we requested for one of the parrilladas to be removed from the bill. We did not ask for the entire meal to be comped even though nothing that was brought was even close to satisfactory.
Other tables had similar comments regarding food quality and service.
I don’t recommend this place.
Service was extremely slow from the start. We waited about 45 minutes before receiving menus, even after asking for bread and water. When our waitress returned, we placed our order right away: one Peruvian jalea and two Yaku parrilladas for two.
Drinks took over an hour to arrive and were underwhelming. The waitress apologized and explained she was overwhelmed, and the drinks were eventually comped, which we appreciated.
About 45 minutes later, the food arrived. Unfortunately, the parrilladas were cold, including the sides, and one of the cast-iron skillets was missing the usual wooden heat protector. The fried fish in the jalea was also cold, and the food overall was very greasy and unappetizing.
We explained the issues to the staff, and while they were polite, it felt like the situation couldn’t really be corrected. We asked not to be charged for the parrilladas since they were barely touched, and the drinks were removed from the bill.
The atmosphere itself is small and cozy, but based on this visit, the service and food quality did not meet expectations.
The restaurant presents itself with quiet confidence, where elegance is felt rather than announced. Soft lighting glides across polished surfaces, and the air carries a restrained warmth—an invitation to linger without excess. Each detail, from the thoughtfully spaced tables to the subtle textures of linen and wood, reflects an intention toward balance and refinement.
The menu reads like a composed narrative, favoring precision over extravagance. Ingredients are treated with respect, allowing flavors to unfold gradually and harmoniously. Service is attentive yet unobtrusive, guided by intuition rather than interruption. Altogether, the experience feels curated but effortless—a place where taste, atmosphere, and time align in graceful accord.
Do not be afraid to explore different dishes because each dish is worth it!!
10/10
I am Peruvian and I can say that the food was delicious!
My mom, husband and I enjoyed the food, ceviche, anticuchos and roasted chicken were delicious. Everything was clean and waitress was very nice, but sadly the Pisco sours was not good. I recommend this place.
And of course We want to come back again,
5 stars for for food and service.
When the food finally arrived, it was cold. The drinks were also disappointing. The flavor was weak and tasted watered down, which was frustrating considering the price and how long it took for them to arrive.
By the end, we spent more time trying to get basic service than actually enjoying the meal. I wouldn’t recommend Yaku Rye unless you have a lot of time to kill and don’t mind subpar food and inattentive service.
If management is reading this, I genuinely hope it was just an off night, but the lack of urgency when issues were raised is what made the experience stand out in a bad way.
