I love takuyaki , miso soup was great. We were drowning in panko flakes but that’s okay. I think all the food is cooked extremely well but also alot of the food is almost super good.

Very disappointing dinner. My beef noodles were very bland, there was no sauce, no garlic, no oil no nothing. Ume lemon tea had a big chunk that wouldn’t dissolve and had a horrid flavor. I would not suggest coming here

First time visiting Yakishabu Sushi House and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. We ordered two rolls along with the stuffed mushrooms, and it was more than enough for two people. Everything was filling and satisfying without feeling heavy.
The rolls were perfectly made, but the standout for me was the spicy tuna poke roll was so good, I’d order it again without hesitation. Another huge plus is that they’re open late until 10:00 PM, and 11:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, which is perfect for late dinners or after-work cravings.
Great food, generous portions, and a solid late-night option in Anchorage. We’ll definitely be back! ✨

When I say the sushi here is great. I mean It’s GREAT! Not just the sushi though, all of the food, the hand full of times we have been here, has been absolutely exceptional. Both for elevated pallets as well as for children. Great food, atmosphere, and overall experience.

Awesome restaurant. Awesome service. Amazing people. I got my front bumper busted from someone so I had to park in their parking lot to temporarily fix it. And they went out of their way to help me out when I didn’t have anything to hold it in place. Thank you guys so much. And I’ve been here before for hot pot. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Great Asian food! In Anchorage, reasonable priced food that doesn’t feel like you’re at a McDonald’s is rare. This place is a gem in that you can score a nice dinner and dine in a restaurant that has style. It feels very comfortable. The food was super tasty and the service was very timely. The idea of cooking your own hot pot or grill at your table was a lot of fun. Some of us did the hot pot. I had yakiudon. There was a lot of food for the money, easily enough for two people. Add a nice cold beer for a very reasonable price. We will go back next time we’re in town!!

I wanted to grab a quick bite and discovered this place. The restaurant wasn’t too busy. It’s a hidden gem and a great spot to enjoy a nice cozy and quiet meal. I ordered takeout: avocado roll and vegetable tempura. The avocado roll was perfect and had a wonderful texture. The vegetable tempura was perfectly fried, not too heavy or oily. It came with 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of onion, carrot, pumpkin and zucchini. Both orders were delicious and incredibly rich in flavor. Their service was fast and the staff extremely friendly. I placed the order and within 15 min it was ready. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience and I will definitely be coming back!

Visitor from CA. First time experience and the food was tasteful and customer service was fantastic. Definitely will revisit again and spread love of this location for SUSHI. The restaurant has a great design and astonishing culture inside. There were hot pot and korean bbq but did not purchase.
Also! The miso soup was spot on. One of the best miso soup I had in a long time. Reminded me of CA miso soup.
My favorite roll are the 911 and bake mussel.
