Great place with great location! The meal sets are good portions and servers are super friendly. The beef tongue and wagyu are so tasty and would definitely come back. Perfect for hanging out with friends

Their Google rating is probably a bit inflated since you get a free sirloin sushi for leaving a review, but honestly, the place is solid regardless. We did the $85 Gen Premium Course and left very full and satisfied. All the meats were tender, flavorful, and clearly fresh, and the side dishes were solid as well.
What really pushes this spot over the top is the customer experience. The waiter even had a flashlight to help us take better photos of the spread. They gave us two small bottles of matcha for my birthday, hot towels during the meal, scratch-off tickets for free items on our next visit, and gum on the way out. Small touches, but they add up.
Best part: it’s on inKind. Between the $25–$50 off upfront and the 20% inKind cashback, the value here is hard to beat. Definitely a place I’d recommend, especially if you’re using inKind.

If you get to try the 50% off Wagyu tasting set, it is well worth it (the restaurant has it on every 29th of the month + some holidays, follow their social media for more details).
The set contains more than enough food per person. Every time when I thought it’s done, they brought over a new dish…
The meat quality was amazing. The only thing is I personally would cook the meat longer than what the waiter suggested. The waiter said to cook each meat 2-3 minutes, but I’d suggest for the thicker cuts, probably try 4-5 minutes per side. Wagyu is really fatty, and cooking for longer helps reduce the excessive fat while keeping the meat very tender.
You can also use Inkind to checkout at this restaurant which gives you additional cash back.
Overall very good value for money.
The waiters were super friendly and atmosphere was nice and not too noisy.

Omg, the best BBQ in NY! I had the same amazing experience when I visited their restaurant in Japan later found out it’s actually the same branch. The quality and flavor are just top-notch. they even had a coupon for free sushi and a free drink that’s definitely a bonus I’d say around $100–$200 gives you a really great BBQ experience here. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best Japanese barbecue I’ve had in ages! The premium pork belly was crispy on the edges and juicy inside, and the fresh veggies paired perfectly with their house dipping sauces. The service was quick yet attentive, and the small, intimate setting made for a great dinner vibe. Affordable for the quality—this spot’s now my go-to for yakiniku nights!

Had an amazing time at Yakiniku Gen. The quality of the meat was great and the sides and sauces were on point.
I really liked the quantity as well. A good variety of meats with the standard course and the bibimbap was also a healthy portion
Overall, would definitely come here again!
