Curry chicken was so good and the greens and rice was excellent. Hubby had oxtails wit teamed veggies and rice and it was do good.. I recommend u going here if u are in New paltz.. this will b are go to place for now on.

Like other reviewers I really wanted to like this new local restaurant. I love Jamaican food. Unfortunately, I feel this place isn’t going to last long if it doesn’t step it up.
I came at lunch for the jerk chicken special. The price was good, sit down lunch for $12, however the rice and beans were dry and the chicken portion was laughably small. The jerk sauce was over sweet and just not good. Definitely not authentic. I would have been angry if I paid the normal $17.
I beg you, don’t lose this opportunity and start showing more pride into what you started.

I ordered takeout. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to try a slice of rum cake for the first time that was not for me but I tried it! Everyone is always kind when I go and the food is delicious.

This is the third location for a business that has struggled to succeed since day one. My family loves Caribbean food and dining in New Paltz so we’ve been to all locations many times over the years, good regular customers until, eventually, the same and/or different problems arise and last time we got takeout it was so disgusting we couldn’t eat it and had to throw in the garbage. Waste of money, will not be back, do not recommend.

We really enjoyed our dinner! I had the fried chicken which was very good and the sides were delicious too! Good selection of beers too including a mango beer. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. I would definitely go back.

The food is edible. If you are not Caribbean or aren’t familiar with Jamaican food, yes the food is decent. But having been around authentic Jamaican food, I can only say the food is Jamaican inspired. The oxtails tasted as if they were only cooked in beef broth, there was no sweetness and no depth of flavor, and no gravy from the slow cooking process. Also from a price point, I purchased a large oxtail thinking to share it between people (for $28.00) and received 8 small oxtails, a spoonful of rice and peas, and steamed cabbage all stuffed in a little rectangle container you would normally get from chinese takeout. They were tough, which feels as if they were made quickly or were sitting for a while. The rice and peas had no coconut milk, or flavor. The fried chicken was made with orange peels, and dry.
