It’s a nice place just way understaffed. We waited 20 minutes for a server that never came. I think this is probably not the norm and that’s why I’m not giving one star. We ended up leaving before we ever even ordered food.

I stopped at Yacht Basin on a whim because I needed a place to cool down after a long, hot morning on a bike. Had a couple of beers and some fried cheese curds, both of which I can’t complain about. The best thing about this place, though, is the view. It’d be nice if they maintained their patio. I’d sit out there for hours enjoying that view. The interior decor is interesting, to put it mildly. But, you’re visiting for the wrong reasons if you’re looking inside the building.

The first time we went the service was good, the view was amazing but the food was ehh… they didn’t have a lot of stuff on the menu. The second time we Sat at the bar for over 30 minutes… two people workins in the place, one in the back that we saw look at us a few times, one in the dining area by the window doing something, who also saw us a couple of times and neither of them could be bothered to even acknowledge us. Then one walked right by us, behind the bar and never even made eye contact… we were LITERALLY THE ONLY ONES THERE. After 45 minutes we left. One of the gals came out the side door waving and acting like we did something wrong. The next two times we went, the website said they were open but the doors were locked.

Not the menu of yesteryear. Been about 20 years since I’ve been there. They used to have nice dinner meals but now it’s pretty much bar food. Staff are very nice though and the dining room overlooking the lake is beautiful.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences my family has ever had. The owner was UNFRIENDLY, UNHELPFUL and downright RUDE. Completely ruined our weekend with his nasty attitude and his lack of concern for others. His comment to this? “That sucks.” We should have listened to other people beforehand and stayed away from Yacht Basin. Highly recommended that you use Kim’s Marina where the owners are friendly and actually care!
