Picked up from here and what a treat! This place does not disappoint, their burritos and tacos are packed, a plate of 2 will fill you up! The burrito was smothered is a delicious cheese sauce. Would not hesitate on this location! Prices are the going rate.

These are hands down my favorite tacos in the city. Generous portions and fast service. The carne asada tacos are juicy and flavorful and my go to. I’ve never been a big fan of pork but I tried their carnitas tacos and that had to be the best carnitas I’ve had in my life.

At an average of $15 per person, this place is good and unlike many Mexican food places in the Richmond area, they do give you a generous $15 worth of food! We got birria tacos and a Chesterfield Burrito, which turns out to be a chorizo-beef-pork mammoth drowned in white sauce. Now was the taste explosive and unique? No but both were quite *good*! Not a place I’d go out of my way to go to, but also not a place I’d purposefully avoid. I have to give props for at least making their birria tacos properly with a double tortilla and more than a tiny 1oz soup like many restaurants strangely do. The tortillas seem to be fried so the level of crunch was an atypical but nice surprise . Definitely a convenient meal if you’re already at Veil Brewing and get hungry. The employee was nice, although she forgot to give me any utensils or napkins (or maybe they don’t give those out, idk), which did mean I had to wait to get home to eat vs eating out as planned. Soup and a sauced up burrito is a bit challenging with just your fingers, haha.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here twice. Very good! The well-known birria tacos are worth the try, and the chori dip is excellent as well. It would have been nice for my food to be a little hotter, but it was still good.
My only complaint is the lack of drink options — and ice. I wish they’d have an iced tea. It also feels weird for them not to have ice.
I’m not a drinker, but I’ve heard good things about their alcoholic options. The drink names are very creative and seem to be enjoyed.

Good food. Reasonable prices. You order at the counter & get a buzzer that lights up when your food is ready so you can pick it up. I’m not a beer drinker but they had a lot to choose from. Went for the trivia on Tuesday.

As a recent Texas transplant, hands down some of the best tacos I’ve had in VA.
The carnitas are moist and delicious with a slight char of perfection.
The birria and consume is out of this world.
They offer a few salsa options and the Pico with habanero is fire.
Been here two times and anyone who visits me will definitely be a food stop.

Great soft tacos – really appreciated the heavy hand on the white cheese with dark-meat chicken. Homemade hot sauce is richly flavored. Nachos may be the best deal. Cool spot, conveniently located inside The Veil.

Great place to dine and have a few good drinks! Definitely a solid 4/5 for the food and drink selections. Y Tu Mama is located inside The Veil. Which is great when you’re having a few drinks and want something to eat or snack on.
The Food: I went here on a weekend and decided to give the food a try with a few friends. I decided on the Beef Birria Nachos to pair with my drinks and it was delicious. The nachos are very generously portioned and the beef Birria was flavorful and tasteful. There was a fair amount of everything and it all worked very well together.
The Service: The service was great! Even for being busy on a weekend, the lines were moving fast and the food/drinks were able to get out in a timely manners staff were friendly as well!
Solid 4/5! I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for some good beers and good food.

The food was sensational! We came for the Birria Taco hype and were not disappointed. Though cooked to excellence and bursting with crazy savoriness by themselves, the flavor train truly hits when dipped into the broth.
Enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Very spacious and the neon lighting upstairs made it feel as if we were dining in a scene from Blade Runner.
The service facet is what let us down. No greeting upon arrival, no signs to address seating and no idea where to go or how to start. We eventually asked the gent behind the pickup window, who generously guided us in the right direction.
Perhaps it’s our fault for expecting the typical restaurant experience with a hostess, waitress, and whatnot. But the overall occasion couldn’t help but feel a little too impersonal and uninviting.
Nevertheless, we’ll definitely be returning, and our next visit is bound to be better with our newfound understanding of the routine.
