Overall: Easy Indian street-food style lunch!
My Order: Tandoori Chicken over rice.
Price Breakdown: I believe around $15 total more or less. Typical pricing.
Portions: Great portions and very filling for the price!
Halal/Vegetarian Friendly: Chicken is halal! And clearly marked vegetarian options.
Would get again: Likely, especially one of their daily specials.
Stopped by here to try out some Indian food in Berkeley, and this did not miss! I believe we visited this spot for lunch last year, and I clearly remember the food being incredibly fresh and SO hot. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the gravy was delicious! Will be back soon to hopefully try their other meals.

They have clearly marked vegan options which is awesome! And they give decent portions (entrees and chaat) at student-friendly prices.
The inside has very little seating (2 tables) and there’s maybe a couple tables outside, so you should plan to get takeout here instead of dine-in. Also my order for 2 took a while to make (15-20 min?) on a weekday evening, so maybe order a bit in advance.

Halal!! Not sure what to make of this place; food was good; we had the Papadi chaat: not bad; the papas was a bit hard; and there Saturday special: Chicken 65 Calupa: very tasty; the chalup is like a thick puri and the small mango cubes were a good touch
Atmosphere: very small tables and not enough for even 3 people; they also done do a good job of cleaning after someone leaves; it’s up to you to do it;
There is no service as you have to order on kiosk and menu is a bit confusing…

Not sure how this place makes enough money to exist, it sells really great food for really good prices, and has great quick service. They do right by Indian classics and also have a bunch of really cool fusion dishes to try. Very much recommend.

I would recommend the butter chicken wrap if you’re an omnivore. The naan is made fresh in front of you, and you get to choose your own toppings. The onions and cilantro are a must, they bring the rich makhani sauce to life with little aromatic explosions, and if you like spice there’s jalopenos too. The chicken has a varied texture, there’s tender bits and crispier bits, you won’t get bored eating it. Spring mix is an option, and though I’ve never seen it in Indian food, it works very well for texture and flavor. The chutneys to top it off will bring you down to flavor town. There’s Tamarind (sweet), Mint (moderately spicy), and Raita (Creamy).

Very delicious! They take extra care to prepare their food well. Their chai and mango lassi are both excellent compared to other Indian places, nicely spiced. The chicken was very moist and tasty.

My favorite lunch stop in Berkeley! I always get the paneer tikka masala with white rice, all veggies, and mint chutney. It’s the best filling meal you could probably have in the vicinity. I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic in terms of flavor and spice combos, but it’s immensely better than all other lunch places in Berkeley.
