Hidden gem. My new favorite Mexican restaurant. My boyfriend and I visited this spot for Valentine’s Day and was amazed with the food and service. A little run down on the ourside but that’s how I like it. I’m always down to support local mom and pop shops like this one. Everyone was friendly and you know it’s a good Mexican restaurant when they bring out the chips and salsa! Will comer back again. Give it a try! Don’t knock it until you try it!

Very concerned about the filth of the restaurant. Health department needs to make a stop. Couldn’t even eat my meal after I saw the amount of dirt and dust. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was mediocre. No asada. Very small space. Won’t be back.

Not authentic. I think the beans are from a can. The chicken for the chicken tacos is definitely previously frozen and sometimes too tough to chew in your mouth. Think most customers downtown go there because it’s close to their building or for nostalgia reasons. It depends on what kind of Mexican food you are used to I guess; if your mom made delicious home made Mexican food with love and passion for her kids – then you will avoid this place but if you like slop, then by all means eat your heart out.

Stockton seemed a bit sad as a town, but this place makes up for it!
