Best new spot to have opened up in Uptown/Buena Park. Friendly space and a chill vibe. Love the natural lighting during the day to sit-back at the bar, coffee shop or one of the food hall table spaces. Excellent selection of plant-based & vegan foods with a market with additional beverages, snacks, food and frozen goods to choose from. Brought my sister here who was ecstatic to find a variety of plant-based/vegan chocolate bars.

The food was pretty good but took a while to make. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that apparently they allow dogs and somebody had their dog on the table. I’m allergic and I also generally think it’s kind of gross to allow that in a place that serves food and drink. Overall I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other vendors and go shopping at the bodega. Really nice to see a wide selection of all vegan snacks and frozen stuff. They don’t take cash so bring your card

I got the firecracker shrimp and the California Maki from the Bloom sushi counter, and loved everything so much! I was surprised that the shrimp were vegan! I can’t wait to come back and try all of the other booths. I also really like that there’s bubble tea but I haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to and I’ll leave another review if it’s good

A super fun vegan destination! While visiting the food hall I opted to have my meal at El Hongo Magico, a mushroom forward taco counter. Food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and was prepared quickly. There was ample seating at comfortable wooden tables, and there were several other restaurants to choose from. There was a sushi place, a smoothie bar, an Italian place, and your all-American hotdog and Burger counter. Everything says it’s 100% plant-based so it’s pretty fun to have all of these options in one spot. For me the highlight was the all vegan bodega inside the food hall. You know how when you’re shopping in regular grocery stores you have to search for that one vegan item in the sauce section and the one vegan item in the dairy area, etc, and then you have to go to three other stores to get your other vegan items. This was like having all of those in one location and I just wish it was closer to where I was staying so I could’ve done all of my shopping right then. I did find some cool items I’m looking forward to trying which I have not seen elsewhere. There is also a full bar and it seems that they have some pretty cool events coming up so it appears to be a nice neighborhood hangout spot.

Fun, tasty vegan options at the food stalls. The shop is too pricey for me, but how nice that everything there is plant based!
Happy hour every day at the bar with a great selection.

An absolute paradise for any vegans. The staff were all extremely nice, the entire place was clean/spotless, plenty of seating, and I’ve never seen so much delicious vegan food in one place before. This is a must visit if you’re going to Chicago.

Visited from Ireland all excited to see a fully vegan market and did not expect what I saw. Thought the place would be bigger and not as overpriced as it actually is. Very nice looking space to enjoy a drink but not a place to do your regular shopping which I thought it was.

I really wanted to love this place. It was “ok.” The space itself is nice and we’re fortunate to have something like this in the ChicagoLand area but the food doesn’t stand out. We split a piece of “cheeseburger” pizza, some cauliflower wings and a piece of cake. Everything was ok but nothing special and a little on the pricey side. Chicago has loads of incredible vegan and vegetarian friendly places. I think once the novelty wears off, it’s likely that XMarket Food Hall may struggle. I really hope I’m wrong and that over time the food will evolve.

Food was much better than expected. Got a pizza, which was good but they either forgot to make it stuffed crust or it’s not very stuffed. The sushi is very good. Especially the unagi eggplant (also had the Spicy melon roll) sushi is on par price wise, the presentation was impressive as I wasn’t expecting much on that end.

Bodega has some nice items that aren’t at the nearby target, jewel or aldi. However the prices are marked up a tad too high for me.

Environment is very good and chill. They have a bar and a few TVs. It’s clean. They could use an extra bus station to put dishes away (real dishes and silverware are given with food).

I’ve never been so excited and motivated to leave a Google review. I need to tell the world about this place because it’s awesome.

I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years and moved to Chicago from the southwest last year. I’m surprised I haven’t seen anything like this in Los Angeles. I’m happy that it’s in Chicago because we get a nice variety of comfort food

The grocery store has items that are comparable to what you’d see in a place like Whole Foods, however, it’s amazing to walk into a place knowing that I can eat literally anything being offered.

I ordered a taco flight from El Taco Magico. It was fantastic.

I’m stoked that this place exists! It’s a little pricy, but having a food hall with 6 vendors in it is amazing. I understand that it’s expensive to have dietary restrictions.

Can’t wait to come back after pay day, preferably with a group of friends after having an edible to share stuff from the food hall.
