We traveled to Colorado from Texas and made a detour specifically to visit this place. The filet mignon was very good, but the ribeye steak felt a bit overpriced for the quality. Breaded Calf Fries were fine. Service was okay overall.

I visited this place and ordered sautéed shrimp along with a 14 oz ribeye, a loaded baked potato, and a house salad. I have eaten a lot of steak in my life, but this is easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, with an incredible smoky flavor—absolute perfection. The loaded potato practically melted in my mouth, and the shrimp were simply outstanding. I loved it so much that I returned the very next day for the same meal. Call me crazy, but this place is amazing. Excellent job, team!

We came in with a big group 20+ and it took awhile for us to get our drinks. The manager came and assisted the waitress and got our food and drinks out. All of the staff were super kind and had a great attitude! Thank you for your patience and service for a big party! The food was wonderful!

Everything was excellent! Hubby had brisket tacos. Mom had grilled chicken with mac-n-cheese. I had grilled chicken Cesar salad. We had turtle cheesecake and banana pudding for dessert. The food was so good. The service was excellent. We eat here every time we come through town.

Stopped in Dalhart for the night and decided to eat here for dinner. The service was on point and the atmosphere was nice warm and enjoyable. Food was pretty good, for a $46 meal my sons steak was tender but lacked flavor, the catfish was ok just over salty, my husband’s bacon cheese burger was delicious, the bread they bring you was amazing and the cocktails were great.

Stopped in for lunch at XIT Steakhouse while passing through and it did not disappoint. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it hit the spot packed with Ribeye and cooked just right. This place is the perfect stop when you’re on a trip and looking for a solid meal in a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back soon to try the steak! Shoutout to our waitress, she was sweet, attentive, and had great manners. Service like that makes all the difference.

Up date from my prior 4 star review from a month ago. My wife and I again split and enjoyed another 14 oz Ribeye steak, whole wheat loaf of bread, stuffed baked potato, salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a peach pie. They have now earned my 5 star rating because the loaf of bread, was crisp and brown on the outside was fully cooked on the inside. They took my constructive criticism well and adjusted the bake time on their whole wheat bread loaf. All the other food was also 5 star excellent. The streak, which we had medium, was perfectly seasoned from the grill, no additional salt or pepper was needed; keep the steak sauces away from it! The preach pie was packed full of peaches. ⁷Bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream on top is delectable. The loaded baked potato was top notch and the dinner salad was a nice mix of lettuce tomatoes, red onions, grated cheddar n carrots. The wait staff was affable and gracious. Being a retired cattle rancher, I personally complimented the manager on the quality of the steak and the seasoning, which were flavorful and juicy. I also make bread from scratch and I appreciate their successful efforts to improve the quality of their bread.
The prices were reasonable for the quality of the steaks, the atmosphere and the affable staff. The restaurant interior decorations were perfect for an 1800s Texas ranch dinning room!
