Reviews
The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly chewy, and adding a fried egg is a must. The menu is diverse and everything is solid — the Hainan chicken rice is surprisingly good, even for non-noodle lovers, and the fried skewers are a hidden gem with nostalgic flavors.
Affordable, comforting, and reliable. Around $15 for a full, satisfying meal. Not flashy, but definitely a place you’ll keep coming back to.
The restaurant’s interior is very cozy, decorated with plants and Chinese-themed items.
Ordering is easy with the QR code on each table, which is convenient.
This spot specializes in potato noodles, skewers, and Hainan chicken.
Combo #1 comes with two bowls of rice and soup, a plate of chicken, cucumber salad, and fried peanut. The rice is very fragrant and the chicken was tasty with the sweet and spicy sauces.
The potato noodles is very tasty. I will say the best one in LA. If you want to add more protein to the soup that’s good. It is also good for the original recipe. I absolutely love the numbing, peppery flavor of Sichuan pepper in potato noodles.
The Hainan chicken rice was a standout, super tender chicken with just the right amount of chicken aroma, not greasy at all. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the dipping sauces tied everything together perfectly.
The potato starch noodles in the clay pot were amazing. The broth was rich and savory, clearly simmered with chicken and bones, and the noodles had that QQ, chewy texture that makes you keep going back for more. It came with plenty of toppings and stayed hot the whole time.
We also tried a few skewers and small dishes, which were flavorful and well-seasoned, especially for sharing. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. we left full and happy.
We loved the hainan chicken and great combo platter! Loved the noodle and flavor — good hand cut style!
There is a 1.5% fee for cards 🙂
We also tried the potato noodles since it’s highly rated with other reviews. We ended up taking to go since it was just too much food for 2 is us.
Be careful online shows Xin Wang restaurant but the actual sign in front says Ana Wang Hainan Chicken. But it is the same. Don’t know why.
Not too many pictures here to take since they’re all over online already. Anyhow, great food, simple dining experience. Nothing fancy. You definitely should give it a try.
When people talk about hole in the walls or local spots, this has to be on the top of the list. One of the best places to get a delicious, well priced, and satisfying meals in LA.
Love it so much!
