The food was great.. We went as a family and had a beautiful time. It wasn’t too busy so we enjoyed taking our time. The Lobster at the end was AWESOME.
For me, the food( rice) wasn’t hot enough and the butter was solidified.. other than that.
Loved it.

I really don’t understand the low rating. This is close to Bay Plaza Mall, a bit of a walk but it’s well worth it. We went on a weekend and they serve lobster to you on the table. Lots of seafood choices, beef spare ribs which could be pricey if you order in other restaurants. You can also do take out and they will weigh and reasonably charged as well.Staff are also very nice!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Chinese buffet, and I must say it was quite an experience. The establishment garnered a range of opinions from customers, and here’s my take on it.

Upon arriving, I was pleased to find attentive and friendly customer service, which set a positive tone for the evening. The seating area, while slightly cramped, became busier as the evening progressed, indicating its popularity among diners.

One standout moment was when a server surprised our table with a generous portion of whole lobster, a delightful touch that showcased the staff’s willingness to go the extra mile. The overall cleanliness of the place, including the bathrooms, added to the pleasant dining environment.

The buffet’s array of options was impressive, spanning around 4 to 5 rows of dishes. While predominantly Chinese cuisine, the variety encompassed other cuisines as well, ensuring there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the well-seasoned Chinese dishes and the addition of sushi to the spread.

The dessert section was decent, with the cheesecake standing out as a personal favorite. Although I was eager to explore more, my stomach’s capacity reached its limit. The inclusion of ice cream in the freezer added a magical touch to the culinary adventure.

While the restaurant had its strengths, it’s worth noting that service had its moments of inconsistency, as mentioned in one of the reviews. Nonetheless, the balance of good food and reasonable prices made it a worthwhile experience. During the week, the $14 price tag was a steal, offering good value for the variety of food available. However, weekends saw a slightly steeper price of $26, which might be a consideration for those looking to visit during peak times.

In conclusion, my experience at the Chinese buffet was satisfactory. With an impressive selection of dishes, varying in quality, and a cozy atmosphere, it’s a dining spot that caters to a diverse range of tastes. Whether you’re craving authentic Chinese flavors or simply seeking a satisfying buffet adventure, this place is worth a visit.

There are a variety of cuisines there but mostly chinese food. We are lucky to come on a sunday and get a lobster each. So gooood. The food was well seasoned and they had sushi as well. The desert line was okay i personally liked the cheesecake. If you have big stomach you should try everything. I wanted to have some mac n cheese but yea was so full so maybe next time. Oh and they also have ice cream in the freezer too. Magic.

I eat at this place all the time and I see negative comments. I think I’m gonna have to put my foot down.

Display serves lobster all you can eat Google in New York where you’re gonna find out I’m gonna start my own YouTube channel. People are making me kind of annoyed. It’s great lobster that people are friendly super friendly at that and they serve alcohol. Where are you gonna find out?

Where are you gonna find that in New York? I encourage everyone to go there. I’m not getting no insensitive. Just go there. Try for yourself and write the reviews but the one star review is not needed for this spot.

Avoid this place at all cost! With the sweat and everything else I went in there with my party of three. Typically a buffet cost me around $20 per person on average. So I expected to spend around $60 for lunch. Instead, my bill came out to be $114, Including a mandatory gratuity. The prices were insane, even though we drink water. I don’t think they care about repeat customers at all. They’re just trying to take advantage of anyone who walks through the doors. There are plenty of other options you can choose. My suggestion is choose someplace else.

I went tonight with my husband for the first time. Unfortunately I will never go again. There was barely any food and the food they did have looked and tasted old, the stuffed clams and the fish were about the only two things we enjoyed. The chicken taste like the fish with led us to believe they use the same oil to fry their seafood and chicken and the chicken looked really fell which is usually what happens when you re use oil multiple times. We ate because we wanted to give it a chance n not jump to judging.i went to get some soup and there was nothing but celery sticks in broth I asked the gentlemen and he basically was trying to get me to eat the other one which i didn’t want at all. The waitress was nice though. It’s sad because if their food standards were better they would be a hit because although very small compared to even merryland buffet is pretty in there. What got me highly upset was the false advertisement it says really big “over 200” (meal choices) if there was anything over 30 it was a lot. The seafood was the only thing to look edible and somewhat fresh

There is a good variety of food. Lots to choose from The soft shell crabs are excellent The spring rolls are fresh. The BEST fried dumplings in NYC.

The staff is very friendly and makes patrons feel welcome. John the owner is a gracious host.

Overall, A+ for the Xi Hin Buffet at Co Op City.

I just had the most horrible experience in this restaurant. I paid over $100 to dine with my self and three children. As we are eating the waitress is clearing our plates but she is talking to someone else and waiving her hands all over our food. So I tell her what she is doing in case she is unaware. She THEN proceeds to wave me off and wave her hands over my food AGAIN! This time I pushed her hand away and asked what her problem really was. I then stand up to tell management and we exchange more words in my passing and she then walks by me, physically brushing by me, so I pull her hair and the manager then gets in between us, scolded her, and told her she had to leave for the day. He also offered a free meal next time I come, but honestly I was just ready to go at that point. Other guests cheered because apparently she has been putting her hands all over other peoples food as well. Well, I went to shop it in plaza and I saw that she was actually still working when passing by again. The manager lied and I wasted my money because I had to leave early because of the situation! I will NEVER go back to this establishment and if you like to spend your money at places that value and respect you I wouldn’t eat there if I were you either. Shame on this restaurant and next I will be reporting to the better business bureau next.
