The food was decent for its location. Quite busy but that’s great for their business. The staff was friendly. The ambiance was very nice- quick café style vibe (in and out) but not family style. Pricey but Not a terrible spot if you’re in the area and you need a quick Viet dish fix. It was a great experience by us not a repeat spot for me. Check it out for yourself!

Ordered the D4: Charsui Dumpling Noodle Soup. The broth was very light in richness- it needed more depth and richness). The charsui pork sliced nicely thin but it was dry. The dumplings were fantastic and the egg noodle texture was excellent. Overall, a tbsp of soy sauce and fish sauce sufficed the noodle bowl-I still enjoyed it.

My friend ordered the Grilled Pork Bahn Mi and she loved it! The grilled pork was very flavorful, though mayo heavy it was well needed to balance the tasty freshly, baked bread. Delicious!

Took the family out to this spot and we were not disappointed. The service was super attentive — the kind where your water magically refills before you even realize it’s empty.

We ordered a little bit of everything: garlic fried wings, salt and pepper wings, Bún bò Huế, pho, pad Thai, and the short ribs. The food came out fast, which was great because we were all hungry and starting to look at each other like appetizers.

The wings were on point, but the short ribs? Easy 10/10. I would fight my own family for the last piece.

They also had pickled garlic on the side and wow… that stuff was dangerous. I probably ate more of that than I should admit.

Overall, great food, great service, and nobody left hungry. Highly recommend checking this place out.

The pho is on the sweeter side.. not like a onion sweet but also not sugar sweet. Idk its hard to explain but id say its still not bad. The Bun Bo Hue was sweet too in the same way too. The fried garlic wings were crunchy but not much flavor… maybe cuz the sauce wasnt spread thoroughly. The place was kinda empty since we went later around dinner time. Sat down right away and the whole experience was over quickly.

I’ve been wanting to check them out since they opened; today I had the chance to. My brother and I went for lunch, ordered the special pho and the rice combo platter. It was delicious, you can eat the pho without any seasoning. When they say it’s their home kitchen, believe it. I didn’t get the owner’s name, but he was kind & friendly. His welcoming energy definitely brings in that warm, cozy, feeling of family eating together in his kitchen. I loved how there were the needed condiments on the table along with pickled jalapenos and garlic – i barely see that around anymore.

The Bahn mi is legit. The bread is the actual bahn mi bread where the outside is fluffy and crunchy. The pork was perfectly flavored and the veggies were fresh and plentiful.

The Pho has a good flavor. It’s a bit sweet and not over salty. I wish the Thai basil leaves were fresher. Also, it could use more protein since the bowl of pho costs $18.

The Saigon Chop plate was real good. It came with a generous portion of pork chop which was flavorful. And the egg was perfectly cooked.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Overall, the food is delicious and on the pricier side. The prices could be much lower.

Stumbled across Xin Chao in Maple Grove as they are currently having their soft opening. We ordered the Wonton Wonders, Vietnamese Egg Rolls, Dumpling Soup Bowl, The Classic Banh Mi and The Jasmine Tea. All the appetizers were good portions to share between two people. The Dumpling Soup Bowl came with a topping plate and the assortment of sauces. The Grilled One Bahn Mi was delicious. Great taste, decent portion size and good brought back memories from Ho Chi Minh.

Hands down the best Pho Ive had. I ordered the spicy beef which had a rich spicy and savory broth. Plenty of beef and pork throughout and noodles cooked perfectly. I had intention of going again today but they’re closed Monday’s. My only complant is that the pork and shrimp meatballs are too good to only have one in the soup. Planned to grab another bowl today with extra meat balls but they’re closed on Monday. Ill stop by tomorrow for lunch.

Edit: Stopped by again and tried the pork shrimp dumpling soup and oxtail fried rice which were both delicious.

I love it when new, non-franchise restaurants pop up in this area. I was doubtful at first on how good the Vietnamese food here would be. Mostly because of the menu and how they’ve Americanized it to make it friendly to non-Asians, I guess. Surprisingly, the pho is pretty good. It’s fragrant with a nice light broth and comes with the same side of veggies like the other Vietnamese restos. We also ordered a Bun Bo Hue which they call The Royale BBH . The broth was very beefy, a much rounder, heavier flavor than the pho. Not to say it is thick and creamy, just that the flavor profile is richer. It is also definitely spicy and had all different sorts of meat inside. The eggroll or “golden stick” was also pretty good and medium sized.

It’s still the soft opening so they don’t have a sign up yet. Overall, the food is indeed Vietnamese and not fusion but I wish they’d just embrace the Vietnamese and call the food as they are. If your food is good people are going to come anyway. That being said prices are higher than the other Asian restaurants just over the bridge in Brooklyn Park.

Xin Chao Restaurant did not disappoint! We ordered Pho, Bun Bo Hue, the pork chop rice platter, beef and egg rolls noodle salad, oxtail fried rice, and egg rolls — everything was delicious. Our group especially loved the oxtail fried rice; it was our first time trying it, and it was outstanding! The flavors were authentic, the atmosphere was clean and modern with a youthful vibe, and the service was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend Xin Chao!

FYI store is currently on soft opening. The menu is limited and space is small. Pho was great! Semi fatty, very beefy, rich, slightly sweet, and slight hint of seasoning. The owner said they use no msg in the broth. After trying it, I have to take his word for it even though I have a hard time believing any restaurant when they say that. One thing I would like to bring up is I was never given a napkin. I had to use my shirt to wipe away my sweats… I hope this isn’t one of those restaurants that are stingy with napkins.
Would I eat here again? Yes but only if I’m in the area.

Eggrolls: 9/10
Springrolls: 7/10
Fried Rice: 8.5/10
Bo Kho: 9.5/10. This beef stew was different than most I’ve eaten and I like the chaange up. Broth was beefier and thicker than any Bo Kho I’ve ever had. The thicker broth was great for dipping your baguette. Beef cuts are the best quality and cooked to perfection.
