We have been to over 100 Mexican restaurants and this is truly one of the best. This has to be the best food in town. So authentic, excellent quality. I highly recommend you stop here. We ate outside and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Every single thing we ordered exceeded expectations from the drinks to the food to the service

Absolutely awful. AVOID THIS PLACE! Service was completely awful and so rude. Good dry and tasteless.The place is very bright with neon lights and at the same time sterile and plain to be in. I had chicken tacos, bland and dry. I had a bite of one of the three tacos and asked to send it back. Said I didn’t want to replace it just remove it from my bill. Server refused to take it off the bill, said I ate it, so no removal. I didn’t even fight with her, she was beyond rude and didn’t even offer to make it again or apologize for how bad it was. Ijust looking at it you wouldn’t want to eat that bland dried out taco. I doused it in hot sauce just to give it flavor, there was no helping this food. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here!

Quality food, small portions. Everything a la carte. Fee added if paying with credit card. Had to ask for a “real” menu. We’re only give QR codes for the menu and drinks, which were difficult to use. Limited drinks – no wine. Waiter friendly, waitress – no so much

This place is STILL the best in Denver. Unique recipes that are not just what you’d get around town or anywhere. Great service. A real mom and pop place, with lots of pride in their food and service.
Unfortunately, the Coors Monopoly on Golden resulted in them losing their restaurant space. All the locals are rallying to support them, and I’m sure Xicamiti will rise again and be even better.

I love when restaurants have a certain dish that you can’t find anywhere else. Today with the help of a very tentative owner and staff I found just that. Although I’ve never been a pork belly fan due to the mass amounts of fat (pork belly)that are usually served, this place is my one exception. The pork belly tacos with the perfect ratio from meat to fat. Delicately Cooked and placed on three tacos with an in-house signature habanero sauce. Did I mention to have their own hot sauces for sale!

What a cool place to eat in Golden! They strive to be unique and different from other Mexican restaurants. The food was so flavorful, fresh, and carefully crafted. The margarita was also refreshing and delicious! We’ll definitely be marking this as a favorite place to come back to.

A hidden gem of Golden. The owner/ chef was our server which makes me so happy. He has put a lot of care into the menu and his recipes. The little touches make a world of a difference. The margarita was amazing and came in a cool cup. This restaurant had been recommended by many and I will continue to recommend it. Outdoor and indoor seating with beautiful views of the mountains surrounding Golden!

We’ve had wonderful experiences here. The first time I was ever here is on a first date with my now fiance. The food and margaritas were so good. We talked for hours. We didn’t even realize they were already closed until i noticed they were doing “closing duties”. They never said a word to us. I felt so bad yet so extremely grateful for that wonderful customer service! We just came here tonight again for our anniversary. Same thing as before, great food, margaritas, and service. It was super busy so the service was slow but we did not mind. It is after all a family owned business and patience and understanding is always key
