I visited Xio Ling’s today and it was almost immediately apparent that this place, easily, had the best Chinese Food in the Colony. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I decided on the General Tso’s lunch special with Hot & sour soup and an order of the pork soup dumplings. The soup came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Shortly after I finished that my entree arrived, piping hot. Honestly some of the best tasting General Tso’s I’ve had, if a bit mild (for my taste) in spicy heat level. The pork soup dumplings were outstanding, my favorite of all the things we tried today. I definitely will try the crab and pork dumplings next time I visit. Overall it was an outstanding experience. The only nitpick I can even think to have is I wish their soda was fountain and not canned. Free refills would be nice. But this is minor and this is a new business, it would not surprise me if that is the route they went down the line. I highly recommend giving this place a try!!

The Spicy garlic ramen was good, broth lacked salt, once added the flavors were good The chicken and egg in the ramen were perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious. The noodles were a bit chewy for my taste but still good.
The shrimp tempura was below average, more batter, felt like frozen ones deep fried.
The Kung Pao chicken was poor – too sweet, too many veggies, too much sauce and very less chicken. Would not recommend.
The fried noodles were bland and tasteless. Good portion size, but just lacked flavors. The chicken was good.
I might repeat one more time and try different items on the menu.
Service was friendly and prompt, excellent server. Ambiance is nice with good decor and great seating options.

Just Me
We had a great experience at Xiaoling’s Noodle Dumpling Restaurant. The orange chicken was made with fresh chicken, perfectly crisp, and coated in a sauce with a bright, delicious orange flavor. The beef fried rice noodle dish was very generous—plenty of food—and the beef was tender and cooked just right.
The shrimp tempura was light and crispy, and it came with two sauces that complemented it really well. We also tried the takoyaki; it was hot and crisp, but it wasn’t quite our favorite—more of a texture preference on our end.

I like the decor when I entered. Totally different vibe from the exterior brown color which I do not like at all. The brown color made me think of the inside as old, greasy and dreary. I told my husband this better not be a JUST american-chinese restaurant cos i am going to leave.
I was pleasantly surprised with the menu. Cos IT IS NOT JUST AMERICAN-CHINESE!!
In fact they have serious chinese szechuan dishes like Boiled Fish (spicy) and the Green Szechuan Pepper Fish with silken tofu (a bit spicy) that I will never see in an American-Chinese restaurant!
I was so excited and got down to ordering the Green Pepper Fish.
My husband’s love is steamed soup dumplings, so we were excited (but apprehensive) when we saw it on the menu. We asked the waiter to recommend a dumpling (cos there’s so many options!) and he said Sam Sum, so that’s what we got.
I was excited when they told us we would need to wait about 15min for them to make our dumplings fresh. Cos it means it is made fresh!!
Food did not disappoint when it came.
Though it is not spicy at all by any Szechuan standard, but I understand such a spice level is safer for a more varied customer base. Despite it being not very spicy, the Pepper Fish still had the peppery taste and the sauce was very flavorful. We like to drench our rice in the sauce!
The soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings were delicious and nicely done. In fact my husband said one of the best dumplings he has had in the DFW area.
I chatted with the table beside us as they ordered several dishes like the tempura shrimp, Mongolian beef and braised pork noodle soup, and they said everything is delicious but they especially love the noodles which is also handmade.
The server was very nice and helpful.
What a great little restaurant that serves both traditional american-chinese dishes AND authentic Chinese selections.
I hope it does well so it will be here a long time!! Highly recommend so please come try it and give it a chance.

There has been a LOT of talk about Xiao Ling’s Noodles and Dumplings, so it was imperative that we stop by. And we were not disappointed! The service was really great, very friendly and knowledgeable. The inside is beautifully decorated, lots of booths and tables for large crowds, and they are well spaced.
The food was very good, made fresh, served hot!!! The entire family ordered different menu items, so we were able to try a lot of items. My favorite was the Shrimp Tempura appetizer. Stop in, give it a try and remember to tip your server!!

The overall experience was excellent. We’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened and finally stopped in on a Friday evening. We ordered the scallion pancakes, pork belly noodle soup, biang biang noodles, pork Xiao Long Bao, and the colorful combo dumplings, and everything was incredibly flavorful. The handmade noodles stood out the most and had the perfect chew. I still can’t get over how good the noodle dishes were. We had a great dinner with attentive, friendly service, and we will definitely be back.

“Oh wow!” The first words out of my husband mouth after taking his first bite.
Definitely give them a shot !
We tried noodle soups, egg rolls, and dumplings. Everything was a very good. The service was quick and courteous and they happily answered any questions. The soup had so much flavor ! They also gave us chili oil to add if we wanted more spice.
The noodles and dumplings are all hand made too.
We will be back for sure !

I often pass by the quiktrip and Dutch bros on the other side of 423 and that’s when I noticed Noodles & Dumplings…on the outside to the untrained eyes it’s very easy to miss…that is, until you park anywhere near the quiktrip and your olfactory nerve in the nose is screaming at your brain and stomach to go there. I was more than pleasantly suprised by the atmosphere as well as the very kind family that runs the restaurant. The food quality as very good and I’ll definitely have to come back with my family.

I have been looking for good dumplings near me for a while, and this is the place! The pork soup dumplings were absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend them enough. Plenty of soup, fantastic broth and juicy filling. I would drive across town for these dumplings. Since leaving China I’ve searched for dumplings like this and somehow they’re pretty close to home. I will be back- a lot!
