The music was so loud you literally couldn’t have a conversation with your own table. We tried multiple times to order drinks and were completely ignored by our server and others while they hung out in front of us. I actually had to get up and find someone just to get service.
The food took almost an hour to come out. I ordered the chilaquiles — 4/10 at best. It’s all presentation and no flavor.
Overall, extremely disappointing. Between the slow service, being ignored, and the excessive noise, I would not recommend this place
The atmosphere was nice, and the service was fine. But the foods quality really bothered us. So much so I had to bite into a chilli pepper to cleanse my mouth. I would not recommend eating here until Xecora has really stepped up their cooking and food quality standards.
Service was excellent! The food was so delicious. The atmosphere feels amazing.
I enjoyed their window view when sitting indoor, and the nice paintings on the walls.
The food was great, I recommend this place if you like sea food. I def want to come back and try more of their items.
It was also disappointing that the service was disorganized—our drinks took forever to come out, arriving only after the oysters were already on the table. We really liked this place, but we can’t risk our health on bad seafood. Please be very careful if ordering raw items here.
I wonder at first why they had 3.9 rating, now I think people were too generous.
Let’s start with the service. Although the restaurant was not overly crowded, I did find that it took quite a while to receive our drinks and food. Additionally, when we wanted to reorder drinks, it took longer than anticipated to get the attention of the waitstaff. This aspect of the dining experience could definitely use improvement. Furthermore, considering the price, the drinks could have been stronger and more flavorful.
Now, onto the highlight of the evening—the food. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, including the Xecora Rice, Zarandeado Fish, and Carne Asada. The Carne Asada was a delightful rendition of this classic Mexican dish. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, providing a satisfying and authentic experience.
The Xecora Rice, however, left something to be desired. While it had a pleasant taste, the texture was a bit disappointing. The rice and seafood seemed to have melded together, resulting in a slightly mushy consistency. It didn’t quite live up to expectations, and I would likely skip it on my next visit.
The standout dish of the evening was undoubtedly the Zarandeado Fish. This seafood delight was nothing short of outstanding. The fish was grilled perfectly and flavorful. It left a lasting impression on my taste buds, and I can confidently say that I will be ordering it again in the future.
