My go to for authentic Lao food. I’ve been coming here since they opened in 2019. Kao piek sen is just comfort food on a called winter day… the broth is light and delicious with home made noodles. It’s a difficult choice next to pho. You can never go wrong with the appetizers. Had the fried pompano fish, it’s incredible! And the prices are reasonable.

Totally worth the price. Maybe they are not using the expensive meat or vegetables, but the smell and the taste is nothing but correct. And the size surprised me. One can never get such a big bowl of Tom Yum soup with less than $15.
I highly recommend the papaya salad. The curry is a bit too sweet for me. The Thai tea is too sweet for me, too.
The service is also great I am so glad that Danbury had such a good Thai restaurant and I truly wish them good luck with their business.

We have been here many times and this was the first time we left disappointed. We ordered Pla Lard Prik and it was bad. The sauce and presentation was good but the fish itself was over fried to the point that only a few oz of edible meat was left and the rest was skin that was harder than leather and head/bones. Looked great but almost totally inedible. And this was the most expensive item on the menu! The other 2 items were good. I will definitely come back but never order fish here again!

The vegetarian pho here is delicious. Very flavorful and filled with the best toppings. Everyone here is great, I love stopping by. The Thai iced tea is phenomenal and always so cute with their rose papers! Their Thai basil fried rice and pad Thai is also a hit! Looking forward to coming back and trying more. I always recommend this spot for anyone in Danbury. Especially because it’s very affordable Thai food! Come during lunch 🙂

Had a fantastic meal at Xay’s Kitchen! The Som Tom salad was packed with bold flavors and the 5-chilli rating I asked for really hit the spot. Loved the chicken soup noodle dish – it was comforting and well-balanced. Don’t miss out on the shrimp croquette-style rolls, they were a tasty addition to the meal.
Overall, I was impressed by their commitment to authentic flavors, especially given the location. Highly recommend Xay’s Kitchen for a delicious and satisfying dining experience!

During my meal, there was a cockroach on the wall next to my table, very close to my plate. The waitress removed it, but the owner did not apologize properly and told me I still had to pay because the ingredients were not free. After I got upset, I was allowed to pay only half of the bill.
Very disappointing experience. Cleanliness and customer care should come first.

Taste like authentic Thai. Their somtom is original flavor. Careful for spiciness level if u order papaya salad. Lunch special is reasonable price and good portion, last me 2 meals.

Amazing food! My husband and I usually go to Fairfield for some good Pho…and then found this place. Can’t wait to go back!
The mango sticky rice was delicious as well!

I live in Manhattan and travel well over an hour to get to Xay’s for their Pho at least once a month. That’s how good it is. If that isn’t a reason to check this place out, what is? I have not had a bad dish from this place, and the customer service is always phenomenal. I cannot recommend Xay’s enough.

Stumbled upon this fantastic Thai restaurant, and the dishes are truly delectable, especially the Pad Kara Pao at spice level 4. A delightful discovery with superb flavors, making it a definite bookmark for my next visit to town. Exceptional value for money, and the service is top-notch!
